Missing In Action (...and I do mean ACTION!)

I know, I know, "Hey, you're Brandon Baker, you used to have a blog eh?"
It's something I have heard the tune of recently quite often.

I have indeed seen my blog go by the wayside. ...but not in vain - have you seen my Twitter account? www.twitter.com/BrandonBaker or @BrandonBaker?
If you haven't I don't know how you could miss it with my nearly 100 posts just about every day. *wink*

I haven't disappeared completely. No sir're. No such luck. *wink*

My thought is that Twitter is a micro-blog, so instead of four to five blog posts on Blogger, I can post a micro-blog on Twitter and get my point across huh?
Angel Benton says, "If you can't say it in 140 characters, you don't need to say it." I think he says that because he IS such a character.

Anyway, the last 33 days I have been crazy busy, good busy that is. I don't have any dramatic story ...well wait, let me rephrase that - I have several dramatic stories, but none that are standalone reasons why I should not have had time enough to blog. *wink*
I have been all over the place, I don't even recall them all; New York during the weekdays in the New York www.rentboy.com offices there, reveling in New Orleans for gayest of holidays, frolicking about Ft. Lauderdale on the weekend with Howard & Gio of FabScout as well as Rusty, ogling in Orlando the next for the day at Universal and the night out on the town, combing Costa Rica the next day, the list goes on and on and on and on and on.... It's been a fun ride I tell you. (Well, I mean, I am about to tell you, and SHOW you.)

Much of that is in thanks to the JetBlue "All You Can Jet" pass that I purchased. I paid $599 and from September 8, 2009 to October 8, 2009 I can jet anywhere JetBlue flies provided I make the reservation 3 days in advance. Want to find out more about what you missed out on? Visit http://www.jetblue.com/deals/all-you-can-jet/. I can't say enough good about it. The concept is enough to have it's own blog, but this is just the basics to explain my absence on Blogger.
It's like I have been away at the neighbors partying, the neighbor to my blog being www.Twitter.com/BrandonBaker. The trail of of my adventures is certainly not missing, it's just scattered. ...just like my brain and many of my thoughts to begin with.

I arrived back in my Las Vegas office and at my Las Vegas home after being scattered throughout the world for a little over a month.
A good part of the trip was spent weekdays in the New York offices of www.rentboy.com planning the HustlaBall and working in the office there. Again, worthy of it's own post, so stay tuned as I sort out photos, thoughts, and stories.
I've been in and out of hotels, Priceline'd the heck out of my credit card, up and down stairs, neck-high in planning budgets, talent pooling for the months to come, drinking soda in clouds and eating chocolate chip cookies in the sky.

Where to start?
Heck, where to end for that matter.
ARGH.

I have a feeling that if you want to be the most connected with me and the fun times of being Brandon Baker - Twitter is the place to be.
...but don't abandon me blog matey, it'll come in spurts. (...like many things around me do. *wink*)

Weekend Report

My friend Dustin that came to stay with me for the weekend is going to stay here another week.
I know, I know, "...there goes another one at Brandon Baker's."
We found a one way ticket online at www.AirTran.com from $103.00 with taxes. We spent more than that at lunch yesterday.
Dustin is a blast from my past, he called me last week after I hadn't heard from him in years. He used to stay at my New Orleans apartment on St. Charles Avenue back when I was in the midst of the busiest escorting days of my life. It's a beautiful thing that I get to have him back in my life and he's exciting to have around.

Him and I stayed at Rusty's while Rusty is in San Francisco. The deal was, I could clean Rusty's apartment (He's so messy. It's part of his charm.) Alessandro and Nelson came over on Sunday with Tom and Alessandro said, "Wow, I have never seen Rusty's apartment so clean. Oh. You must have done it." I can't take all the credit, Dustin helped me, but it was fun.

Rusty has a HUGE HD TV and Dustin and I watched my first two NetFlix movies "Hostel 2" and "The Freshman" at his house.
Matthew Broderick and Marlon Brando in "The Freshmen" delivered a funny movie over the komodo dragon with an ending that made me feel good. It reminds me about "business" and that things are not always what they seem, even if I can think of every reason to rationalize it while it happens. Until I know what is really going on, it's not fair to judge.
"Hostel 2" was insane. It was sick. It was gross. (There was some gruesome and plain fucked up situations. I mean, YUCK!) I mean, it was utterly disturbing, but very satisfying as a movie. I really liked it. Quentin Tarintino has a reputation for it, but he and Eli Roth did a movie that really didn't fit the confines of what would be acceptable to most people if you ask me and I like that. I was also a little shocked to think of how beautiful the women in the movie were, like two of the turned me on. ...that's a little strange for me. I also always like it when they make a sequel and have at least a few people in the movie that were in the first one, that's important to the credibility of a flick to me. The main thing I took away from that movie was that extreme situations can cause you to do extreme things. Even things that you would not normally do. It's the way life goes.

Friday we went to CockPit at FUBAR. It was really a good time. I have some photos to put in today too from CoolTom. He's always so timley with his photos. Thanks CoolTom. I can't handle Wayne Fowks hotness. ...even when he's covered with milk. ARGH!

Saturday, we went to Numbers for dinner with DJ, Dustin, CoolTom, Bert and one more friend that was so good. The food was incredible. It was so good. We had drinks and Bert gave us all a very nice surprise. Thanks Bert! I had a great time with some great company and wouldn't trade that time for anything.

After Numbers we went to Chi-Chi LaRue's birthday party at Here! I got to see Jim from www.boys-pissing.com and I remembered how much I miss him. I liked being able to deal with him often we were having the Los Angeles pool party. There were so many industry people at Chi-Chi's birthday party, it was amazing.

Sunday, we went to Hamburger Mary's with Nelson, Alessandro, CoolTom, Dustin and I. There is one waiter at Hamburger Mary's that I really find just can't get it. I don't know if it's me or what, but for months now, I just can't find a satisfaction with him. Of course, he's the waiter we had and he sure didn't miss the mark this time either. I had a XXX breakfast that was cooked very good though.

It was a great weekend filled with fun, cute boys, wonderful experiences and reminders about life that were delivered in some of the most entertaining ways I could ask for.

Bunko and Karaoke Weekend

Sorry to burst your bubble, however, everyone that thinks I was in Las Vegas with some hookers, snorting cocaine, dancing the night away, spinning into the wee hours of the night - you are wrong.
...this time.

I played a dice game and ate some Phillipino potluck with Lisa and some of the people she works with in Las Vegas Saturday night.
The game is called Bunco.
The rules are not that complicated, but I did have a learning curve.
Somehow, I won. ...by losing. I won part of the pot of money because I had the most losses during the evening and the 36 rounds. I gave it all to Lisa, I would give her the whole wide world if I could. Plus, she paid my entry fee for the night, so it's all good. She's amazing.

It was interesting.
You can throw me in the middle of the biggest hoodlums and I am fine and can work the control of the situation, but you put me with some call center ladies, bank tellers and booth cashiers and I was nervous.
Keyword: WAS - I felt much better after I made friends with the Hallmark lady. She was FIERCE!
I had a lot of fun with Lisa and her friends.
It's not my normal circle, but it was certainly was more fun than I anticipated. I know I overreacted, part of it was for theatrics, (...a concept I am new to. *wink* ) but I was a little nervous.
It's only normal to feel that way.

I would totally do it again and if I thought some of the porn stars would not take three days to learn the rules, I would play it with them, but yea, I don't see a porn star Bunco showdown on the horizon anytime soon.

After all the main players left and the "Bunco Adminstrator" (whom I also adore now after finally meeting her after hearing Lisa talk about her so much.) and hostess and her husband of the night were at home, she broke out the margaritas and somehow convinced me to do something I have never done before and have truly managed to stay away from until this point in my life.
Karaoke.

I don't know how, but I havent done that at all until now.
It was kinda cool , the little karaoke machine she had looke dlike a cell phone that was supposed to look like a microphone. I wanted to dial someone on it.
I can do lots of things well folks, singing is not one of them. Actually, it's kind of scary if you ask me.

I chose to sing "Day-O" from Harry Belafonte as I thought of 'Beetlejuice'.
Somehow, I think the machine was broken, I scored a 94 out of a 100. I fucked that song up let me tell you, and I had so much fun doing it.
Lisa and I sung one song together called, "Tonight, I Celebrate My Love" too. We rocked.
The hostess and her husband were amazing, they sung a few songs including, "Here Comes the Sun" from The Beatles and were fucking flawless. They need an agent.

I won't be rushing to do karaoke again, but for one night of my life, it was fun.

What a fun weekend out of the normal for me. YEA!

Weekend Update

It's been a hectic couple of days. Well, week actually. I haven't had much time to get some healthy blogs out.

HERE! and THERE
I did go out last night to Here! for an extra long night that saw me unlocking my front door at 5:30am. YIKE! ...I feel a little guilty because I should have used that time to catch up, but yea, not so much. It was fun though. FIERCE!
It's been so hectic in my office with reconciling the Palm Springs Pool Party records, the major preparations for HustlaBall London like rooming lists, hotel selection, sponsors, etc. and other events like Orlando for GayDays next week. (..which is the same weekend Gay Pride in Los Angeles. ARGH!) Plus, we have a large event in Ft. Lauderdale that FabScout Entertainment is largely helping with on the near horizon that is taking up some time each day. We also have Pittsburgh's Pool Party right around the corner and the full weekend of events in Pittsburgh for Pride.
It sounds busy and it is, but trust me, it's all very rewarding, don't get me wrong.

MY BROTHER'S BABY BOY
My brother had a baby yesterday. Well actually, his wife did, it wasn't him who had the baby.
I am not sure what happened, but there was some drama at the hospital with my mom and my brother. It kills me because it's his first friggin' kid and things went haywire. I don't know who's more spoiled and that's frankly not my call to make, but I deemed this the time to make an emergency trip to New Orleans and spend a day with my family. It is an easy way out actually because it's only for one full day. ...that's a long trip.
What's crazy is that my brother and his wife were told that it was going to be a girl and it came out a boy. I bet my brother is happy, but ummmm... I hope they can exchange many of the things they got for the little tyke.
...and for everyones sake, I hope he's not too much like my brother. *wink*
My hick brother is 3 years younger than I am. He was always the troublemaker growing up. Now we have totally reversed roles. He's settled down with a wife and lives is the bayou of Louisiana as red neck as he can. He loves it and for that, I am thrilled for him. He's happy working offshore on oil rigs and sitting in the yard at night drinking beer. Good for him.
I find that I am always too busy to make time for my family. I mean, I always have an excuse why I can't go see them when something momentous happens. I keep a busy lifestyle and I need that to stay productive. I don't know if that will change drastically, but I have evaluated in my own head that this is something I should support him and my parents in if I physically am able to.

HAMBURGER MARY'S WEST HOLLYWOOD
Now that throws a kink into things this weekend. It's been so hectic and many people have wondered if we are indeed going to have the RentBoy.com Night at Hamburger Mary's in West Hollywood. Simply put, yes, the night will go on. I won't be able to attend myself, but I am not needed to make the night happen.

WEEKEND TRAVELS AND ESCORT TRACKER
I have Mitchell, the San Diego hottie who will be in town this weekend at 'The Pimp Plaza' along with Antonio Milan while I am away.
Rusty leaves for a four week or so United States tour this weekend. His schedule includes cities like Washington DC; Toronto, Canada; New York and a few others.
CoolTom will be in from San Diego as well this weekend, but that's becoming the norm and I love it.
Cameron Taylor is also slated to be in Los Angeles this weekend making things brighter and happier in his own special way. *wink*

Weekend Update

Saturday, I think I woke up at like 5:30pm. I slept all day. ...and loved it.

Derrick and I went to Bobby Trendy's at 11:00pm to help set up for a party and just like last week, it was well attended. It was CROWDED!
Derrick bartended and I was support staff somehow filling up empty vodka carafe's, replenishing ice and the like. It was fun.

After Bobby Trendy's party, Derrick, Jonathan Chang and I went to REFLEX, the after hours party. Actually this was after, after hours, since Bobby's was the after hours.
I think we went to REFLEX about 4:30am or 5:00am and finally got home about 6:00am. The sun beat us home.
I got to spend a few moments with Jonathan for the first time since I fucked up his Escort Awards appearance which I am so sorry about. I hate that I was not able to control that better. ARGH! He's amazing. When I say, "I don't know how he does it." I mean it. He's everywhere.

On the way home, I was driving down Hollywood Blvd. after having drank only orange juice since 3:00am at REFLEX, enjoying all the green lights and no traffic heading into the bright sun to remind me it was Sunday.

Saturday nights Angel has been staying at "The Pimp Plaza" so when we got up Sunday afternoon, Tom, Angel and I went to the "Farmer's Market" on LaBrea and ate. I like that we do that Sunday's.
We even found this New Orleans restaurant called 'The Gumbo Pot' where I can get my crawfish not next week, because we are at White Party, but the weekend after. YEA!
I enjoy Sunday's at the "Farmer's Market".

Mid-Weekend Update

DISCLAIMER: This entry may look a little confused and out of the ordinary. I assure you, it's a direct reflection of the last 24 hours. It's not bad, but it's been busy, fun, sexy, new and confusing.

I like to keep that at the Hamburger Mary’s event we don’t do photos. I think it brings out those people who are shy and don’t want to have to worry about that. It allows that we have one event where the boys and the johns can not worry about press.
I however, am the first to have broken my own rule and quickly asked all the boys if I could take a few to at least promote it. I warned anyone in a radius that they can step out, some people did.
You better take a good look at this image, because plans are that you won't see to many more.

Here's a scandal in my own head.
I somehow ended up spending some time with Tristan Matthews last night. Whoa.
First off, let me tell you, it was odd. ...but totally worth it. It was exciting.
I told him I would write about this (I haven't had a sex entry in a LONG time, huh?) and I am not one to normally kiss and tell, but he is so unique and he puts my high energy to SHAME. It was hard to keep up with him. ...and that says alot. He's a ummmmm...talented boy. ...that's all I have to say. *wink*
I had a FABULOUS time with him.
If you are considering spending time with him, prepare yourself, 'cause he's a hoot.
If I have a Mardi Gras parade in my head, his head is a blend of Mardi Gras with the Indy 500.
All that being said, I wouldn't trade him for a new Lexus.

If I look back to a call that I answered in my office on Friday I now see how it turned into two cute available boys from Las Vegas, one that was up for best bottom, Ricky Cruz, and his HOT friend (...who is of course linked to Fabrice.) who are temporary residents of "The Pimp Plaza." It quickly went from a call to plane tickets to a fuss with the airline, to arrival in LA to tending to business to well... right now. Yea, I think I am still a little confused, but thrilled with the high levels of radiating hotness from mi apartmento. *wink*
Flights kinda got botched and they missed one, but they made it and are staying at "The Pimp Plaza" during their Los Angeles visit. (I have not been back to "The Pimp Plaza" since they have been there, I stayed with Mr. Matthews last night. I ran in this morning to get some stuff before I went into my office and they were so cute asleep. They look so innocent.)
I have been acquaintances with Ricky Cruz for a few months, and I am glad he's here visiting. He's got a great look. No matter where he tell you it's been. *wink*
May I just take this opportunity to remind you - It's a SMALL WORLD, I have had every clue and every understanding practically hit me on the head, but Derrick Michaels has come across my desk and thoughts not so recently and then again recently not related to each other.
I swear, things happen for a reason and even though I may not know them, it's all there. It's crazy how I see it happen.
I am still trying to sort it out, but he used to date Fabrice and lives in Las Vegas now and we had some mutual clients and... that's as far as I can go now without a flow chart.
...and I am going to need a glass of cool water, because folks, this boy is HOT! HOT! HOT! and TALL! TALL! TALL!

If you are in LA this weekend and want to spend personal time with Ricky or Derrick, call them now, operators are standing by now. *wink* (If they are awake.)

Rusty got a dog. He’s now a pet owner. I never understood people who dress up dogs. Ummm...they come dressed, it's called fur.

If you are an escort, and you were wondering about the Hamburger Mary's night, here's a HOT story that makes me feel all warm inside. I heard from an escort who joined us for dinner and left with a new friend. He thanked me because he’s $2,500.00 richer with the overnight he did. Good for him, that's hot it's done. I like stories like that. Chase Evans - you need to catch up with me, my dear. *scowl*

I never know about Angel Benton.
...throw in a side of hot Noah Driver and this is what you get - whatever it is.
*wink*

I came into my office about 8:30am and have been able to get an incredible amount of things that I needed to catch up on done. Hence the reason why I feel I have the time to do some blog posts like this.

I don't know what is going to happen tonight at 'Destination Here!' - I am "terrified" of what could happen, but we are on the slate to hang out in West Hollywood tonight with the boys of this weekend.

...stay tuned for more from the weekend with reports all around 11:00pm. *wink*

Weekend Update: re-LAX

I know, I know, how insensitive of me to post a "Boy of the Moment" post and not a "Weekend Update" post.

I had to go to Las Vegas to get away this weekend.
...by myself.

I flew, round-trip for $147 on the good people at United, so now that I flew out of LAX and returned, I am RE-LAX. Get it? *woka, woka*

Folks, that does not happen very much. I ALWAYS have someone with me.

I don't do it very often, but I HAD to get away from the boys. Seriously, it's been MONTHS since I had to do that.
I think it worked and I am back down to earth now.
I appreciate the boys realized that I meant it and no one called me and made sure I was "Okay." etc. Maybe they didn't really care, but I doubt it. I don't want to be presumptuous, but I was glad I had time to myself and with my darling Lisa.

I heard Angel ask right before we left, "When are you guys leaving." I said, "This is not a "You guys." This is a ME."
I will update you when I am back at home and not pressured for some office results like I am now.

Rusty's safely in his new apartment in the sky, (It's his new SkyVilla.)
Fabrice and I are on the rocks, (...and I'm covered in them.)
Angel's busy with a new position, (...taking over the Naughty world.)
I don't talk to Andy as much anymore as I used to. (It's natural.)
Elias' phone is ringing off the hook. (I can't call him.)
I miss Kyle too much. (I keep trying to hit him too, but I keep missing.) *wink*
Jason was singing somewhere over the rainbow. (...and down the street.)
Jonathan was designing something in diamonds. (No really.) *wink*
Tom was photographing some rediculiously hot boy...
...the list goes on.

I did go and catch up with my new old friend Kyler Saturday night.
...and let me tell you, he's looking GREAT!
I got a couple of inquiries about him when I blogged him a few weeks ago, and now, he's got his own site and his own blog I encourage you to take a look at at www.TylerPeter.com. (You can see why I spent some time with him in Las Vegas. Wait until you hear the whole story.)
