So this morning, I went to wake up @TommyDeFendi to see if he wanted to take me to my office so that he could keep that car during the day.When I went to wake him up, he was groggy and said something and was obviously tired so I was going to take the car.
It sounded like he said, "There are doughnuts in the front." and knowing that I like a clean car, I thought he was telling me so that I was not upset.
I didn't care that much, I was just excited there were doughnuts in the car.
I pictured this scenario: He came home late and got doughnuts on the way home and left them on the front seat. Okay.
I left and told him he could have @AngelBenton (...who is also visiting me Las Vegas.) bring him when he woke up.
First, I couldn't find the car outside, he had to park it much further than normal in the parking lot. I thought it was missing.
I found the car and I got in the car on the way to the office.
Driving to the office was normal except there was a strange sound and I thought, "Oh that's weird, the car feels funny. I'll have to ask Tommy if something happened."OPh, that and there was a cute little light on the dashboard that I didn't know what it was and certainly didn't look like a tire, so I said I'd look it up in the "Owners Manual" when I parked and see what it meant.
I got to my office and got out to walk around the car and saw the spare tire was on the car. You know, the little replacement tire.
Oh, now I get it, Tommy said, "...the doughnut is on the front." meaning the slang term for the smaller spare tire. Ahhh...
When he woke up, he came to my office, got the keys and took it in to be replaced at the Honda dealership.
The dealer said he might as well take it to a tire shop, so to Sears he went.I think he said the guy at Sears said it looked like 3 holes that might have been an industrial staple or nails. (...three holes? It could have been vampires with a pen maybe? Who knows?)
Now there is a WHOLE lot of construction going on, but who knows.
It happens.
I am excited just thinking about Tommy changing the tire and getting all dirty and stuff. ...that's hot. I am pissed I missed that more than the tire. ARGH!
Ah well, no doughnuts (...and you know how I like those.) and a new tire.
...on the road again.
