Time Capsule: January 2002

I found some old photos of my apartment in Ohio from January of 2002, a little more than 7 years ago.
There are a few photos of my boyfriend at the time, Chad with my friend Brad and his boyfriend Michael at the time.

• In the photo of Brad laying down, his shirt says TREAT. On the front is read TRICK.
• I miss my kitchen in the loft apartment I had in Ohio. Can you believe I had a two bathroom, loft apartment in Ohio for $385 a month in 2002? Whoa, what a change to Los Angeles where a smaller unit was over $1,300 a month.
  
• Jeesh, even back then when I was working in the hotels and had just one Citiboyz porn movie under my belt, you never knew who was going to wake up at my apartment. Some things don't change spare the geographic location, huh?
  
• I like that mirror in the photo with just me in it at the end. I had a few drag queen friends I had kiss the mirror and those are his/her lip prints on it. I laminated that spot on the mirror so they would not smudge with some spray laminate too.
  

Cars in Cuba. ...and Shoes.

...just when you thought you had it tough.

It's not a long article and an easy read, but a bit provoking as far as I am concerned on perspective.
I mean, whoa, that's crazy.

After reading this article I can't help but think,
How important are shoes, really? (...to understand this comment, you have to be a long time reader of my blog [...at least since Februaty of 2007), be the elusive Andy Kirra or check out this brief post. I am so surprised at how many times in my life, myself or my friends bring up this story.)
