Disneyland Weekend with the Boys

Sunday, we headed to Disneyland. (I am really enjoying Disneyland these days.)



Our friend Peter joined us as we headed into the park to eat breakfast with Minnie Mouse, then we strolled around the park all day and rode some rides that I hadn't been on yet like the bobsleds and "It's a Small World." (I can't get that song out of my head.) We also rode rides that I have before and really like such as the Haunted Manson, Indiana Jones, Space Mountain and a few others. COOL!
Splash Mountain had such a long wait and I think we drove the people behind us a little mad, but that's okay. I think.

I had such a good Sunday with the boys before driving back Sunday night to Las Vegas.

Halloween Bash 2009: Photos

Here are some fun photos from before the Halloween Bash '09 this weekend in Ahaheim, CA.



Chase Harding, Justin Keith, Bert, Brandon Baker, DJ Avila and Pierce were all at the hotel preparing to be who they were going to be for the night. (...like they aren't character's enough already.)

After some of us donned our gay apparel, (...some more gay than others.) we headed to the ball, I mean, to have a ball - I mean we headed to the party.



We had a GREAT time and I loved the boys sexy costumes.

Las Vegas Haunted Houses - The Asylum and Hotel Fear

We went to a haunted house in Las Vegas last night. Check out www.lasvegashaunts.com for the story and set-up of the haunted house we visited at the Texas Station Casino.
It's set up as two separate haunted houses. One is "The Asylum" and one is "Hotel Fear". As you can imagine, the hotel themed one intrigued me the most.
I have to say, having done it, it was amazing and I give the volunteer actors credit. They were all amazing and really scary. None of them broke a character the entire time. I am proud of them for that. They even had some entertaining "Crazies" who must have escaped "The Asylum" playing in the parking lot that were true to his or character the entire time. WELL DONE!
What's also amazing to me is how entertaining it was. I truly was skeptical heading into it because it looks like a carnival that was set up in the grocery store parking lot growing up in Detroit. However, they proved me WRONG! WRONG! WRONG. I mean it looked like a couple of semi trailers backed up, threw up an airbrushed facade and called it a haunted house. NO WAY! When we were in the attraction itself, it felt like we were in there for a long time and wound through an entire building. How they do that, I don't know - but I do know I enjoyed every minute of it.

I did wonder, and can't help it, but how the hell is that ADA compliant? It's ADD complaint, but what about a wheelchair? I just wonder.

One of the guys at the door who told us the rules said, "No open flames, but open flaming is okay." and I could not help but laugh. (I feel like we should have a blinking, beeping, warning that says, "GAY PORN STARS APPROACHING" at many events we do.)

I get so scared at this stuff, but it's so fun. ...there is something to be said about that, but I just don't know what yet.
I think they must have known the had a group of 'mo's minus Lisa in the group. She's the straight one.
In one of the dark rooms (...not the ones I am used to.) the guy was like, "Go straight" and a couple of the boys let 'em have it. I muttered, "I can't. I tried." but that was nothing to Justin's shout of, "You! We're going gaily forward."
There was also one scary bedroom where one of the hottest, blond ghouls jumped out onto a bed and Justin calmly said, "Can we just jump into that bed with you?" "Speak for yourself, Justin!" even though he was a sexy, scary guy, I high-tailed it out of there. Justin was looking for some ghoulie action, I guess.

Speaking of hot scary guys, I had to remind you of this sexy, scary man (left) I saw last year (I think, wait, he might have been two years ago, they run together. ...the years I mean. ...well, the hot scary guys do too, but that's neither here nor there. Well wait, they were there, but at one time it was here. *sigh*) at Universal Studios. I know he was supposed to be scary, but I wanted to jump his bones.

This year, it was my friend Joey, Chase Harding, Justin Taylor, Lisa, her friend Justin that met in the Texas Station parking lot and paid $18.00 each to be scared senseless.
...that's intriguing to me as well. I mean we paid just short of $20 to scare ourselves. If I wanted to do that I could just look at www.JasonSechrest.com and be scared enough. *wink*
The Frightdome (www.frightdome.com) at Circus, Circus looks cool, but it's $39.95 plus $15.00 for a FastPass so it's a little more scary based on the price. *wink* It is much larger I believe and has rides as well.
I think I was the most scared. You can see by the amount I was sweating in this photo to the right. YUCK!

There were some cool areas of the faux buildings.
There was on totally white room, that this crazy man in the middle just stayed in and we couldn't find a way out, there was no way out, the crazy guy had to open a curtained wall or something, it was really cool.

There was two guys who were on "parking lot" duty and spent lots of time with us in the line while we waited to go in.
One of them, this one in these photos, kept scaring me. He quietly was sneaking under the ramp we were waiting by and scared me. He did this thing (...just the ones who got me last year at Universal Studios) with these knee pads and sliding on them and making noise. I feel like he's a scary, deviant, mean friend now.



I certainly feel like it was time well spent with friends
I applaud the actors and the set-up as skeptical as I was heading into it.

I hope that if you want to be scared, you find the right way this Halloween. *wink*

Anaheim Bound Weekend

Thursday, we are going to a haunted house in Las Vegas.
I can't decide which one though.
I originally wanted to do the Frightdome at the Circus, Circus, but now I think the "Asylum" and "Hotel Fear" at the Texas Station (www.lasvegashaunts.com) seem more fun.
I have a day to decide, eh?
