Boy of the Moment

You can find some more sexy boys on blogs like http://gus-mag.blogspot.com/2008/01/random-sexy-boys.html.

Site of the Moment - www.AirFareWatchDog.com

It was Lisa who told me about this site recently even though I know several others have told me about the site as well.
What site? www.AirFareWatchDog.com It's an amazing website, you simply must take a look.

Today I found this link on a local carrier in Florida that flies as USA3000. ...just use the promotional code FESTIVAL in the promo code field. (Oh those promo code fields, right?)

The next USA3000 sale: Florida

Posted by Alisa B on Monday, June 30, 2008 at 8:52 PM to Domestic US Fares

By now you probably know the drill. USA3000 is doing their usual sale thing and offering $10.00 off on each booked segment (that would be a $20.00 reduction on a round trip purchase) from various cities to their Florida destinations. This promotion is valid for travel between now and December 15, 2008 (though some itineraries are not bookable much past the summer). You must enter the word "FESTIVAL" in the promo code box at time of booking only on the USA3000 site. Bookings must be made by midnight on July 7, 2008. Seats are limited, restrictions apply and we've listed fares on our site which already represent the $20.00 reduction on a round trip. Taxes and fees are additional.

I think that's a good fare indeed.

I signed up for some email notices of flights from MSY, LAX and the regional airports near them both. I also added international destinations to my subscription.

Boy of the Moment - Michael Lucas' Blog

Wow, I have to hand it to Michael Lucas and his June 25th blog. This photo is going to give me several more days of fueling my wet dreams.

He also has another recent post that is filled with some HOT photos of Zack Randall pissing, Ben Andrews cumming and some re-fueling opportunities that I have loaded up on. *wink* CLICK HERE

Weekend Warning

Get ready for the kind of Friday that rolls into Saturday that somehow ends up being a Sunday when we stumble past some churches looking for a place with some Red Bull and gum. *wink*

Escorting

I am not going to ruin the effect of a certain article, or which publication, but my boss, Jeff and I just were able to answer some provocative questions for a upcoming magazine article about www.rentboy.com and the new version of the website.
I can't help but point out how proud of one of the answers to the many questions we were able to field.
I like to be able to point out escorting in a positive light and at times, it's downright difficult.
I hear all these horror stories about people who dread their boss and or going to work. It's really hard to sympathize with those stories because I have not dealt with that and can only imagine.
I am thankful that he started www.rentboy.com not only because I work there now, but because since my sign up date on the site, he's been a part of helping me without me even knowing it.
One of the answers Jeff gave made me so proud. I felt so empowered and excited. That makes me thankful.

5.) Have you noticed any changes in perception/attitudes of people towards the idea of rentboys over the years?
Slowly but surely, escorting and acting in adult films is becoming more acceptable. It is actually quite a worthy profession, and the best escorts are delivering a unique service, making contact with clients that might not be able to pick up a porn star at a crowded disco, for whatever reason. It is akin to a bartender or psychologist, or massage therapist. They offer a unique set of interpersonal services which should be heralded, not marginalized or made illegal.

Coincidence & Attention

This beautiful world never misses an opportunity to remind me of how small it is.
...and how oblivious I can be at times.
...and how the two can still go together somehow in her infinite wisdom. *hehe*

So a few days ago I was approving this photo on an account and thought he was really cute. I do several hundreds of ad approvals each week and I still get excited about many of them. Call it a perk, call it whatever you want, it's certainly one of the more fun things I think I get to do and see.

A day or two later, I needed to pull up the account for something else and I was like, "Oh yea, that looks familiar." Wait, REALLY familiar. It only took me a second to realize that ummmm.... that's my bed. I mean, I know there are tons of beds like that, but I think that's my house.

One more part of it came together, and I talked to CoolTom and he was like, "HELLO - yes, that's him."
I love that CoolTom uses my apartment for some shoots. It's usually the shoots that kick the boys escort careers off and it's the first photos they can use online on the site. I truly don't think I have ever been there for one of the shoots, and I don't think I want to be. I would not want it to appear that I let them utilize the "Pimp Plaza" to lure them back there, but it's convenient to many areas, I am usually never there so it's a private space to get the photos they need, there are several areas they can shoot on like my red, bordello bed or the shower, and I pride myself on keeping it spiffy and clean. Plus, it's a quick, free solution to the excuse of, "I don't know where we could do them."
It sort of cracks me up that I see my own bed online more than I do in person these days. Thank goodness the boys are making it look so good. *wink*
It's so crazy to me that these few seemingly random incidents are so clearly linked now.

...but wait, there's more.
Yesterday, one of the boys who is also staying at my house brings this boy home and they did whatever while I played "Office Hours." and seriously, they could have done a satanic ritual and I would not have paid attention. No one needed anything and I had stuff to do, so it's to each their own.
I think as I think back to it, I only really gave him any attention when they pulled out the sofa bed. Normally, people sleep on the couch and think, "Wouldn't you be more comfortable on the bed?" and it usually ends at that thought. (Thank goodness, because I get all the change that ends up between the cushions of the couch. Fierce.)
This morning, they slept in late while Mitchell and I did the pool party descriptions and I mean, I knew SOMEONE was over there, but I totally didn't realize it was him. I mean, it's was until a few moments that I was able to put all this together.

He didn't totally realize it either, this evening, he said, "I think I have been here before. Whose house is this?" after we established that it was mine, things quickly became much clearer.

I totally did think, "Shit, Brandon, you have had this dude in your house for going on two nights and you are finally realizing this. Way to go. He could have robbed everything in the front half of my 483 square feet. Super." NOTE TO SELF: PAY ATTENTION TO WHO IS IN YOUR SPACE, FUCKER!
It's even crazier, I mean, really, what are the chances that he would end up here again.

It's all too weird and fabulously coincidental without making me feel threatened and politely reminded that attention is not overrated.
Do I give it too much attention?

Boy of the Moment - Pretty Sedate

Here's some pretty sedate 'Boy of the Moment' posts. ...maybe I meant to say pretty, sedate posts, but I may never know. ...and this way I am covered either way. *wink*

RentBoy.com Ft. Lauderdale Pool Party Ticketing

...that's the ticket.

Here is a yet another revised and very informative ad for the www.rentboy.com Pool Party in Ft. Lauderdale coming up real quick.
If I may, if I might, ask an online favor of you tonight and pass the image onto one or two friends that you think might be interested in going to the event.
...and now that the tickets are all finally available online like they should have been already, it's going to be much easier. ..much, MUCH easier. (I am a little embarrassed about that and by publicly admitting it, I think I may pay more attention to it in the future and get it up quicker.)

Plus, we have special treat built into the online ticketing. I was up against the several handwritten notes I wrote to myself last night on as many things as I could to finish the friggin' online ticketing. It does not sound that hard and it's not really on the whole slider bar of things I have to do, and at times, it's fun, but the pressure of coming up with a grammatically correct, spelling-teacher approved, informative, exciting and captivating description is not always the easiest thing to do. Especially when they have the high chance of all sounding the same. I was up about 8:30am clicking my DELETE key, okay it was more like a pounding when what I came up with that sounded fierce in my head sounded tragic as I read it back to myself. Mitchell is staying with me and he got up and can I just tell you how much fun I had with him coming up with the descriptions for the ticketing? He is a funny guy, but he's also smart, and quick, that was hot at that hour. I was impressed.
At times, we kept suggesting ideas that made no sense at all, but that usually led to something that we both were excited about leaving for display. We didn't agree no much and I totally appreciate that he would look at me at times and be like, "...that's dumb. I can't put that down." or my favorite was when he said, "Yea, that's a good one." and typed something totally different that I said.
Good humor was more than an ice cream this morning. Special thanks to that time he helped me with that.

I do implore you to head over to the ticket page and even if you don't buy a single ticket, it's a free ticket to a few chuckles.
The best way to remember where to read the ticket descriptions is to click through from the main www.rentboypoolparty.com website and use the BUY TICKETS link shown to the left. If you need a direct link, it's HERE.
You click the small light blue question mark on the far right to bring up a pop-up with the descriptions from the heart and early morning head. *wink*

If I may say so myself, the image to the left shows one of my personal favorites. Of course, part of my objective is to direct you to the page with the tickets, but I am including this image for longevity sake. Now, if I am not mistaken, (...and that's been known to happen before.) I think something I must have paid attention to in high school English was alliteration. (I thought that was when you threw trash on the ground, but nope, it's much cooler.) At the risk of sounding like I am residing on Sesame Street, we had "Fun with Alliteration" today when we were creating the description for the "Official After Party." They all ran together after awhile and we seriously had to collect ourselves and do the final run through and make sure they all looked right and were correctly priced and the respective descriptions mentioned all the right information.

Mad TV - Porn Star Registration

Howard sent me this, but Fabrice showed it to me awhile back. I think it's hilarious.
...picking a name is not that easy, but it is fun.
How often in life do you get to REname yourself? FIERCE!

Bartender, Bartender

I am in my office on Saturday and getting a lot of work done. ...but I also want to keep a perspective on my blog too.

So Rusty is thinking about being a bartender somewhere. I think he'd be good for the most part. He's very cute and seductive at times, so that's a definite plus. Plus, he can still be social and in control which I think he needs. (...but that's just me.)

I was going to see if I can help him and then I thought, what if things have changed or this is wrong? I could fuck up his first impressions and ideas, so I decided it best not to step in on this one and let him kick-it off on his own. He's perfectly capable, but I hate to see him waste time. (Trust me, I see what he does with time and I wish I could give him more.)
However, I called some friends who work in the bar industry as bartenders, bar owners and bar managers today to verify some of this and yes, it's not changed that much.

This is some printed material that I used when I was a bartender at 'Cafe Lafitte's in Exile' in New Orleans that I found very helpful and that I still keep to this day.

The first document on the left is a "CHEAT SHEET" that I really might not be alive today without. Thank you God for that ink and paper. It might have saved my life.
I treat these like a sort of parchment, basic script, or "charter" that I had for bartending that now, I wanted to share it and make everyone else's life more fun too. ...even Rusty.

The other alphabet thing is the notes I wrote for the bar gun.
It's what the one letter codes on the bar gun did. What the fuck was going to come out of the "C" one when I first held it up like one of Charlie's Angels. First mistake. ...and not my last.
We did have one messed up button though. In most establishments, the "T" is for tonic and the "Q" is for "Diet Cola."
The "L" for 7-Up or Sprite? Why? ...someone told me "lemon-lime." Okay, it's all coming together now. Someone crossed the lines probably a few hundred years ago when they installed the ancient thing and no one undid it. They did tell me, most places and the one new station in the bar, that's opposite.
Nowadays, there is usually a picture or logo of what you will be shooting out when you press it, but it's good to learn the basics and the theory right?

You can see the handwritten recipe on the far right in the top corner for the "Mind Eraser" was a popular drink in New Orleans, they quickly and immediately told me that I would be making lots of so I had the recipe from the get-go. (...that explains it huh? ..that's why I can't remember anything these days.)

I had no idea about bartending, so yea, why not hire the rookie to be in the premium position right? I seriously think they hired me just to say they had a porn star that worked there, but it was a good three month run let me tell you. We had a "Dress Code" but somehow every violation I had never resulted in any disciplinary action. (In fact, it was quite the opposite.)
Here are a few anecdotes that I recall well;
  • I recall one specific time when I heard for the first time, "I'll take a madras." I immediately replied, "...you mean like the one that you sleep on? Honey, this is not that kind of....oh." It sounded like he said, "...mattress."
  • ...and no lie, my general rule of thumb was, "...when someone orders a hurricane, just grab every alternating clear liquor in the well and pour the together. Add cranberry for color at the end." not once did someone return it and I don't know if they were ever the same concoction with just grabbing every other bottle in the liquor well.
  • I always prayed that they would order a drink that had the name of the drink in the title. It was so much easier to order a "Vodka and Cranberry" then to have to figure out where "Cape Cod" was and if that was the one with the friggin' lime.
  • We had a green sticker on the bottles that I had to press the green button on the cash register for. I mean, if I poured a more expensive brand, I would know because it had a red sticker on it. I would head over to the cash register and hit the red key and be fine. However, it was dark, blue and green started looking alike and I think God over and over it wasn't a game of twister. I think if you ordered the same drink every time from me, it would have been a different price depending on the way the light hit the well.
We had to switch shifts each week, so while I worked at the less crowded upstairs bar to begin with, I moved downstairs to the main bar facing Bourbon in about two weeks.
Good times, busy times and lucrative times is only the beginning.
  • One day after I first started I took my father out to lunch in the French Quarter. When I want to pay, naturally, it was with many one dollar bills. (...just like when I used to dance on the bar.) He said, "Get those off the table, I know where they have been." and I was so glad to say, "You know my tip bucket?" instead of blushing because he knew what was going on.
I don't miss the bartending position very much. I miss the hotel positions much more. It was fun and very social, I like that part. ...and many of the bartenders I know automatically roll into a sexy role just because of the job they have. I like that part too. I met LOTS of people. ...and I can thank that very bar for several of the people I still deal with today each week.
I hope I am able to go with Rusty and Angel to bartending school just because I want to have that much more knowledge and security - that's what I want to pour a big glass of. *wink*

PIttsburgh Pride Photos & Report - RentBoy.com

We had a really hot group of rentboys at the Pittsburgh Pride events we did a few days ago on the 19th.

We had the pool party at a fierce Pittsburgh new mansion on Mt. Washington on Thursday.
Friday, we had a VIP dinner that was so much fun and so yummy.
Saturday, we had the 'Pride in the Streets' event at night and Diesel Washington and Damien Crosse had a show at the bathhouse called 'Club Pittsburgh' on Saturday late night.
Sunday we almost made the Gay Pride Parade, but spent most of the day at the 'PrideFest.'

I worked almost all of Saturday day during set-up for the 'Pride in the Streets' and I felt unusually good about what I was doing. I sort of just assumed that role as a volunteer but more of a staff person. It was much more fun that I thought it would be and I got to do so many jobs and be involved in so much. Let me tell you my friend Gary in Pittsburgh is not shy about doing hard work and producing a class of event that would fit any city. Frankly, it's amazing at times how hard he works, how much money they spend and how fabulous the events they are involved in are.
I got to go with Gary all day to the police department and pick up permitting and NO PARKING signs for the bar crawl.
I picked up Jacob Reitan who was in the DVD 'For the Bible Tells Me So'. Can I just tell you how interesting that was in the car? Whoa. He was speaking at a Presbyterian church that night.
Sunday, I was up early to help staff and work at the PrideFest which moved locations from the Del Monte Park to about 4 city blocks on Liberty Ave. (Where the US TV show 'Queer as Folk' was set.) It was such a far walk back and forth to the stages on each end.

Check out this photo gallery Sean did http://v4.rentboy.com/photogallery/Pittsburgh08/2008-06-23Pittsburgh_Pride_1/index.html with photos of the boys that we took that danced and looked great.

Two of the boys got in a fist fight at the hotel and from the story I heard, a housekeeper saw the blood on the door of the hotel room and called the police, so that was a little more than I am used to dealing with when I have models.
I ended up putting one of the boys in the car and talking to the airport a day early.

It was nice to have Sean there too. I don't get to do events with him very often. He's a great guy and so different from me. I appreciate that about him.

Being as the party was in Pittsburgh, we flew most of the boys in from New York.
We had some new boys and man, were they HOT! Anthony Marks was really cool and I was so glad to meet him. He's been one of my 'Boy of the Moment' posts before. Shay was really cute too. Nick Capra was wonderful too, he gets things going and I love that about him. Shay and Nick danced for Fredrick Ford at the 'PrideFest' and looked so good. I was so proud of them.

NEWS: Empty Malls

The world's largest mall is the world's largest flop

"Mall of misfortune" -- The title of the article in The National says it all.

It seemed like such a good idea: China's economy is growing at a frantic pace, and people have more disposable income than ever. Why not build the world's largest mall in the Pearl River Delta -- China's wealthiest region -- generate a ton of hype, and make millions? "Build it and they will come," right?

Wrong. The seven-million square foot South China Mall is a flop of historical significance. Imagine combining New Coke, The Ford Edsel and O-Town's second album in a blender, and then building a mall out of it. The mall opened in 2005 with space for 1,500 stores and is currently home to around 12. That's a vacancy rate of 99.2%.

In a way, it's nice to see this thing flop: it turns that you actually can lose money overestimating peoples' appetite for conspicuous consumption -- at least in China

Special thanks to Howard at FabScout, he sends me fun, interesting articles all the time, that I just have to share because I love that he does with me.

I feel for the mall, I mean leasing specialists can have hard jobs.

We have an outlet mall (...well, USED to have an outlet mall.) in Slidell, outside New Orleans that had the same fate. It was pretty large. I think there were 4-5 anchor stores and about 80-100 smaller stores. When I was in high school, it was a busy outlet mall with some good deals. Then the anchor stores started moving to other areas, then a few off-brand stores were not enough to draw in traffic. What's worse is several brand new fast food chains opened around it ready to capitalize on the shopping traffic. Holiday Inn relocated there with a beautiful new suburban prototype building. Oops. When I was home last week, even the one last occupant, a church occupying an old shopping heaven, was gone. ...with little or no flood damage, it's still an eyesore now. During the hurricane, the city used as many relief centers such as the drive-through Red Cross relief center.

Maybe they should head to Las Vegas for some pointers. It seems the leasing agents at The Forum Shops at Caesars must work directly for God at times they have such impressive stores and they are all full, full, full.

Hamburger Mary's and www.rentboy.com TONIGHT!

We have a monthly www.rentboy.com event in Los Angeles at the Hamburger Mary's in West Hollywood on the last Friday of each month.

Last month, Angel managed the event because I was unavailable and had to make a quick trip to New Orleans.
Now that I am home from the same destination two days ago in the NEXT month, it's time again.

Tonight, from 7:00pm until we get kicked out, we will have a portion of the restaurant dedicated to www.rentboy.com again.

Think of it as MySpace Live! You can network with new friends, say hello to your current friends, move your top friends around and meet totally new ones.
...and you can eat and drink.

We have a cocktail sponsor as well that allows us to have an allotment of free drinks too, so come join us tonight in a social setting that is not at a nightclub, loud bar or street fair. It's designed to give everyone a more intimate connection space in a public place.
  • If you have ever wondered what the rentboy's are like in person but not exactly figured out who you want to hire yet, this is a great time to get acquainted with a few of them and see how they interact.
  • Do you want to be a rentboy but have questions that no one seems to be able to answer? Come on down and chat. You can direct any questions to the proud Mary herself at brandon@rentboy.com or use this time to find out right away in person.

Haunted New Orleans Tour & The Castle Inn

I went on a New Orleans Haunted History Tour with some of my teenager cousins and great-aunt while I was in New Orleans on Monday night.

If I can help it, I prefer to send people on a personal friend who called herself, "Bloody Mary". She operates a very intimate and personally guided tour in the Haunted aspects of New Orleans. I used to work closely with her when I worked at a haunted guest house in New Orleans. Bloody Mary is quite amazing and beautifully theatrical while still maintaining total plausibility in her storytelling. I recommend her first.
However, she's booked a lot of the time, so call beforehand, and I usually don't plan ahead (IMAGINE THAT RIGHT!?) and end up WISHING I was able to use her when I have to make other arrangements in New Orleans. She answered my emails and texts almost immediately a few days ago but was busy with a wedding group. She's even entertained several celebrity groups.
Her official website is http://www.bloodymarystours.com.

However, I also worked in several larger hotels and dealt with other ghost tour operators in New Orleans. A gentlemen named, Sydney Smith also has helped me out in the past in New Orleans. He runs 'Haunted History Tours' and the five of us went on his tour with a familiar tour guide named Ernie who was quite the talker.
We heard a few stories on this more commercial tour such as;
  • ...the horrific tale of the 'LaLaurie House.'
  • ...the building that is now 'Muriel's' where a table sits even this week for the ghosts,
  • ...the revolutionary singing ghosts in 'Pierre Antoine's Alley.' (Right near my New O
  • ...the 'Hotel Provincial' (Google it, it's one of the most haunted hotels in New Orleans apparently since it was a Civil War hospital.)
  • and a few others that you can all find in his book HERE.
The official website can be found at http://www.hauntedhistorytours.com/

Speaking of New Orleans haunted hotels, I have mentioned in the past that I used to manage a few small inns in New Orleans and as a special treat, I called the owner of one of the inns that is a mansion off St. Charles Avenue and was able to show my family the inside of the inn at 10:00pm even though the inn is no longer an inn. (I even saw my old office and desk which backed up to the 'Real World New Orleans' 'Belfort Mansion' kitchen window. Fierce.)
I really enjoyed that and am thankful that the owner whom I used to work for was able to do that.
On the right is an ad I designed way back in 2002 for a magazine about the hauntings at the Castle Inn. I have several others in that campaign, but that's for another time.
You can read an interview about when I had some paranormal investigators stay at inn HERE. (They used to all call and stay at the inn all the time.) (The Travel Channel even stayed there one time and did a Halloween special.)
I could go on and on about this and my own run-in's with the ghosts and sometime I may, but this is enough for now and this post.
My high school girl cousins didn't get to see any ghosts, but it sure was scary and fun at that hour. (I think the scariest thing was my hair. *wink*)

This photo to the right isn't even at the Castle Inn to go with the post. It's of a empty stage that was at the halfway point of the tour. We stopped at a familiar New Orleans haunt and bar called 'MRB's.' I sneaked off into another part of the bar I know about that was empty just to snag this photo. If you know me, you know how I live abandoned building and especially New Orleans, so that's enough right? *wink*

Here are some other haunted New Orleans website you can check out if that interests you.

Camp Rock

You might say Angel Benton is wearing off on me, but don't worry, it's in all the wrong places. *wink*

I think I am a little excited about seeing Miley Cyrus and the cutie Jonas brothers in thier new movie, "Camp Rock" (It must be the red cheeks.)

I watched the movie, "Big Momma's House" last night in New Orleans at an airport hotel. (...more on why I was at a New Orleans airport hotel in a short bit.)
I know that's not strange in itself, but it is for me.
First of all, I don't do TV. VERY rarely do I do TV to begin with. I feel guilty when I do, I feel like I should be doing something more productive when I do and more importantly to me, I have this serious issue that I get too involved with it. I should not care that much, but shows like "Dawson's Creek" and "Nip/Tuck" take up too much of my attention and emotion.
"Big Momma" made me cry. ...at an airport in New Orleans under the covers of my 'Sleep Number' bed at the New Orleans Airport Radisson. I mean, I had silly tears when the ending was so good and everyone was okay. I don't think this was meant to be a tear-jerker movie.
I have a truly and unsettling emotional involvement in TV shows, so I need to steer clear of them by choice most of the time.

I can't imagine what the Jonas Borthers and Miss Cyrus are going to do me.

NEWS: Beach Brothel on Wheels

Okay, now THIS is a crazy story, Sean sent me about a "brothel on wheels." I mean, they WERE going places, but the brakes have been out on that.

It brings new meaning to when I hear, "Please wait until the ride has come to a complete stop to exit the ride." *wink*

GayDays Orlando 2008

Here are some photos from my friend Eric who I got to see in Orlando. (...and put through hell keeping up all night.)
I had a GREAT time.
I got to meet some hot and fabulous new guys who work under Howard's direction at http://www.FabScout.comand got a little bit of work in. Once again, it was one of my favorite events all year long.

Flight Safety Video

I have been flying quite often this last couple of weeks.
My friend sent me this HILARIOUS video that is not that far off from the truth it seems. ARGH! You can see more on THIS LINK.
Check out THIS LINK with a video that shows the traffic patterns in one of the most beautiful ways I have ever seen. Damn, they make it look so pretty. In the air sometimes, that's the furthest from how pretty it feels, huh?

My flight to and from Orlando were both delayed enough that I missed my connection flights in Denver. Yesterday's return from Orlando via Denver saw me getting home at 12:05am, technically on Tuesday. I wasn't the only person in that predicament though. I was in a line for 54 minutes to get re-booked and while I was in that line, missed a flight I could have taken back to Los Angeles that apparently went out with some empty seats.
I know there are rules and rules usually made with good intent. I don't know many rules are intentionally to make things harder although they often seem like it. ...and much as I want to complain, I am thankful that I am ABLE to fly, and can have my own belief that most things happen for a reason.

Funny Signs, Lost in Translation

Sometimes things get lost in translation. Here are a few funny signs that I saw online from foreign areas that seem to have parts that could be confused in translation.
