Hotel geek, Disneyland fan, recovering porn star and nothing short of a total mess.

"Well, DUH!"
In an effort to clean up some of the photos that I have in a folder on my desktop to put in my blog, this one called out to me today. When I saw this message come up on my trusty computer screen last week, I thought, "WOW! ...I sure would not have known that if that message did not come up."
No, the fact that I had been waiting for a long time to install a simple program for my PocketPC wasn't an indicator. Thank GOODNESS for that message!
*hehehe*
Sign of the Times: "How do you know it's safe?"
All over New Orleans, including one of my favorite local dining establishments named Mona Lisa on Royal Street, you can see these signs that signify that it's okay to eat there after the hurricaine. It's just one of the "Sign of the Times" that shows how the event has made an impact on today in New Orleans.
New Orleans Update
It's been a busy week here in New Orleans. Here are a few photos I snapped of the cathedral at Jackson Square in the French Quarter.
The weather has not been too cooperative, but hey, that's not that bad. I'm usually inside the bar anyway.
I have stories upon stories to share, and photos from my camera to download, but I left the cord at my parents, so I can't download them.
I will try to have some friends bring it tonight or go buy a new one.
Wait until you see the photos from the Mardi Gras parade "Muses" uptown last night. It was so cool.
I have a lot to catch up on, but so few spare moments and no high speed connnection at my New Orleans apartment. (...right now I am at a coffee place on Royal Street.)
New Orleans Appearance
If you are in New Orleans, you can catch Andy and I (...and a few others) at the Bourbon Pub at 800 Bourbon tonight. You can find out more at http://www.bourbonpub.com or http://www.gaymardigras.net.
...and yes, can you believe they spelled my name wrong - I am Brandon BAKER, not BARKER!
Trust me, I may be barking when it's done though.

Funny to the Bone
I can always count on our friend Angel Benton for a funny story. Why, just the other day, he told me one that made me laugh so hurt it hurt - to the bone.
He said when he was in school, he knew the bone that was called the funny bone had a scientific name.
Now most people know that the "funny bone" get it's name because it's scientific name is the "humerus" which sounds like "humorous" which is "funny" - right?
(See what happens when I try to explain something, you end up more confused.)
Well, leave it to our Angel to make it funnier.
...or should that be more humorous?
Anyway, Angel made it funnier when he said, "I knew since it was "funny bone" it's scientific name was the "hilarious."
Go ahead with your logic, my dear. Go ahead!
"It's a Beautiful Thing."
...that means it usually has a blatant point when he does.
This was his most recent post in his blog, called EMOTIONAL ROLLER COASTER:

Whats going on here??? No. Really, what's going on???
A sober dedication to my beautiful unwife Brandon Baker
Party with Brandon you say. Why not party with Brandon and Andy. =D Sure our combined forces may be a little to much to handle at first, but then you will see that we really are people, just like you. Only we're awesome. By we I mean you and me of course.... right....
If ever you feel out of control or a little crazy you can always count on us to be so far out of control that we'll never know. But you are more than welcome to join us in our extremely positive outlook on life. Everything happens for a reason. Even if you don't like something that's happened in your life, later you will appreciate and realize the lesson you learned, or even taught. I would like to thank the man I call my husband today for teaching me so much about life and for always being there for me. No one in my life is as wonderful as he is, and it's hard to really show how much I love and appreciate him. Words are a start.
Stay beautiful my darling, and I hope we are not together but married for many many many beautiful experiences to come.
Love, Andy.

Brandon's Favorite Nightclub: Berghain
It was called Berghain.
The physcial layout was very alluring and the crowd was HOT and glad to be there, (...that always helps.) so it produced a very cool night in a very hot place.
Why am I writing about this now?
...because last week, I finally asked Tommy Ritter how to spell the name of "that hot place we went out in Berlin to." so I could look it up.
He told me and I found somegood links and information.
Here is some stuff from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berghain
The official website for the nightclub is: http://www.berghain.de/It is located in a former power generation plant near the Ostbahnhof Train Station. The building is distinguished by its enormous dimensions -- including an 18 meter high dancefloor and space for 1500 guests -- as well as its minimalist interior design. The main design elements are steel and concrete. The first room at the entrance near the cloakroom displays a 20-30 square meter black & white painting of the artist Piotr Nathan. On the upper floor, the Panorama Bar contains a large-format painting by Wolfgang Tillmans.
Berghain is best-known for its decadent, bacchanalian, sexually uninhibited parties which often continue into the following afternoon. It is also infamous for the strict and choosy bouncers at the door who make quick work of the improperly dressed, the faint of heart, or the curious youth from the suburbs. Security is tight and cameras are strictly forbidden. This allows the homo-, hetero-, and bi-sexual guests to throw social restraints to the wind and live out their most pornographic fantasies.
Berghain is the reincarnation of the legendary Berlin techno club Ostgut, which was the first permanently established venue explicitly for gay fetish and sex parties. "Ostgut" itself grew out of the so-called "Snaxx" parties and developed into a focal point of the Berlin techno-subculture. Ostgut closed down on January 6, 2003 following a 30-hour farewell event, and the former railway warehouse which housed it was subsequently demolished.
The organizers opened the new club Berghain in a much larger building in November 2004.

NEWS: Kid Rock and Scott Strapp Sex Video
I saw the article on AVN about these two singers and a sex tape they made with several girls blowing them while on tour.
Jeesh, way back when, it was Tanya Harding, then nowadays, its Colin Farrell with of course, Paris Hilton in the middle of it all.
Man, these sex tapes are out of control.
I know I have a few out there, some that would be WONDERFUL for me if they would fall into the wrong hands for publicity's sake, but I do think, "What would happen if they did?"
Don't these people THINK about that when they make them?
It's one thing if they did it when they were not a star, but all of these ones, (...well, maybe not Tanya Harding.) were stars when they made the tape.
I think it's hot.
I don't know that I even think there is anything inherently "wrong" with it, but it does provide for some nasty gossip...

PHOTO: Who's Eating Who?
PHOTO: Mr Clean
occasionally, I do work....not very often though.
This was a photo that my dad took while I was cleaning the floor last time I was here.
I really have no idea why I was cleaning the floor in my underwear at their house, though.
I had a few Red Bulls and ended up breaking the vacuum when I tried to vacuum the wall.
Sorry, Dad.

PHOTO: Brandon Back in the Day
I was putting some stuff on some old CD's in my dresser at my parents house onto a new hard drive and I found hundreds of old photos that at times, are hard to believe. This one to the left, is not, but I thought was interesting.
It is of me in a New Orleans cemetary. Why I have my shirt off, I don't know, but man, where did that tan come from?

Babysitting Brandon Baker
I am not partying, not running here and there, not too much rather just enough to do what I have to while I support my mom as she recovers from some foot surgery.
...and playing babysitter Brandon Baker.
I came home to be a "good son" and support her as she got back from some heart surgery.
Well, what I THOUGHT was heart surgery, my mom has so much stuff physcially wrong with her, it is not right. She has diabetes, arthritis, manic depression, acid reflux, and a sleu of other things that most doctors cringe at.
I thought she told me she was having some bypass surgery, so that is what I told some people. My friends, at times, I have been known to get confused. This is one of those times. She actually had some pins and some metalwork removed from her ankle. Wait, it gets better, I thought I was confused before. She still has to have the bypass, she DID just get over some cataracts (I thought those were Indian boats...) and some eye surgery so she is just a basketcase. She can't walk and do alot around the house and she babysits all these kids so really, I am here all week to babysit the kids.
It's not that I don't care what's up with my mom, but it's kinda crazy. I used to think she was a hypocondriac (sp?), now I just realize - she really does have that much wrong with her.
I am thankful that I do what I do. So when she needs me, that same flexibility that I have is the flexibility that I will use for her and my family as I do for me.
Know what I mean, jellybean?
I went upstairs with one of the kids today to check on her and she said she was fine.
In the middle of the conversation, she felt the need to say, "I will pay you honey."
I said, "Mom, what you get paid for all these kids, all week is less than I make in an hour."
She said, "I know, but you are here."
I said, "I am here to support you and the rest of my family in a very small situation that will allow you time to get your body back to a plausible state of being."
She said, "What?"
I told her that I didn't know and I can't follow most calls with her anyway.
I am sure she feels the same way with me when I call, so I just said what I thought you said you were having surgery on when I explained it.
She sleeps alot.So does the kid I had today.
He was very well behaved.
Here is a photo of him in a bucket.
I think that is hilarious, "...kid in a bucket."
My momma did raise no fool either, *wink* (Well, in some ways she didn't okay? Let's just leave it at that.) most of the kids are her doctors kids, so they take care of her when she needs it.
She's a smart lady, oh yea.
I had dinner with my dad though both days so far, that was nice.
Last night it was at this chicken wing specialty place and tonight it was at a new burger place that they have in town, that actually has staff.
Everything still closes at like 7:00pm 'cause there is no one to work at the places.
ARGH!
When I got home tonight from fixing that lock, rather I should say, watching my dad fix the lock and being the cheerleader, I went into the living room and saw what you see in this image in the right.I thought, "Oh shit, I left a kid here. Oh man."
My mom has this doll that looks so lifelike, it freaks me out.
Really.
...at times, I think it's eyes move.
As if she does not have enough kid stuff around.
I can't even open a cabinet in the house without having to press this special kid-safe latch to get it more than an inch open. Furthermore, you want to plug something in this house? Only after you take out the clear child-safe plug things. Then what do I do with that when what I wanted plugged in is, leave it on the floor BY the plug so the kid can choke on it then? ...and TRY to find something that is not Tupperware in here. YIKE!
It's the end of Valentine's Day....but that's just a day with a name.
I heard from alot of people that I love in my life today.
I am seeing that text messaging is the way to go these days, I can get alot done with a text. To all who sent messages, emails, texts, carrier pigeons and even the singing telegram dressed as the Chesire Cat - THANK YOU! (Okay, that last one didn't really happen.)
Andy is at his parents with his boyfriend, so at least they got to spend that together.
I see so many instances of love in my life all throughout the day, that it makes me so happy.
I love love.
*wink*
New Lock
I know this is sideways, but I feel a bit sideways sometimes too.A few weeks ago, the apartment I share in New Orleans was broken into.
I think it was someone who had been there before because there was not much taken, there was drug baggies on the floor, panties on the couch and some bottles of booze taken.
What probably happened was some straight boy that had been there tricking before knew we were both away and busted down the door to impress some chick and actually didn't really impress her when he got caught and the neighbor called the police.
They did tear the room apart, and fuck up the door.
My dad and I went down to the city today and he fixed the lock and put on the new one.
I tell you, my dad is something else.
We spent a while putting in the new lock, drilling new holes and fitting the new complicated, electronic lock in making sure it worked like it was supposed to.
Small World Example #87679 and #87680
So in between being babysitting Brandon, answering my phone, trying to read my e-mail and planning the next two weeks with my half of brain I am THIS close to returning an old page of voicemail.I have some voicemail from the porn convention, more than a month ago, YIKE!, of voicemails that I did not return. Rather than people think I am TOTAL scumbag and just ignore people, I'd rather call and let them know I am catching up finally, so that I did this morning...
One of them was from a voice that wanted to do modeling during the porn convention.
I returned the call and I was talking to him, two and two came together and I realized that I knew him.
...and this time, like many before it, I knew because I had sexual relations with him.
He was the one who Caleb Carter and I had sex the hot threesome two years ago at the Venetian for www.BoysGoneBad.com and the photos at the left.
He was a cutie.
...but wait, there's more.
I got a call from a client today and I asked, "How did you find out about me."
He said, "Oh, I had your website on my screen at home and my neighbor came over and said, "I think I know him." and must have said something good, I guess, huh?
*wink*
What a small world, I tell you. (I still would not want to paint it.)
E-Mail to Cupid
Sometimes, I outdo myself, this is one of those times. This is one of those times.
...nothing like tooting your own horn huh?
Today while the baby (..that's right, Brandon Baker the babysitter) is napping, I was able to peck out this cute, totally sarcastic and quick idea that I had to send an e-mail to Cupid and tell him a few things.
(I would give him a piece of my mind, but I don't have much to give away, so a quick e-mail will do fine, don't you think?)
Here is an e-mail I just sent off to Cupid:
Dear Cupid,
Listen babe, I know you are overworked and this time of year is stressful for you, but honey, do you know who I think I am?
I don’t know who you think you are… (…well, actually I do, you are the cherub guy who shoots arrows of love at people, but that’s beside the point right now…) but this deal you got going sounds sweet.
Heck, can I sign up? WANTED: YOUNG-LOOKING FLYING BOY TO SHOOT UNSUSPECTING PEOPLE IN HEART. MUST WORK HOLIDAYS.
Even though it sounds good and you may be at the top of your class, it hurts. I just wanted to bring a couple of points up to you and your office people.
Do you have any other litigation outstanding?
'Cause at this rate - they are going to be in some serious trouble.
(I hear that Halloween is hiring. Don't tell 'em I told you.)
You just wait until my laywer hears about this one. I can see it now, "CUTE RAMPANT SCANTILY-CLAD TEENAGE BOY SHOOTS VICTIMS WITH ARROWS CALLED "LOVE". The headlines are going to eat it up!
Seriously, do they give you those outfits, I think Hooters must use the same company to make them, huh?
Do they know you run around with that arrow and friggin' shoot a bitch? (That was only in Detroit last time I heard.)
You go around with your cute, little happy, go-lucky self with these sharp and quite frankly, dangerous arrows (Does OSHA know about this? They will in a few minutes!) and aim them at unsuspecting, innocent, hard working young people. What did they do? ...minding thier own business and BAM! head over heels over someone. My mom worries about her illness, I worry about being distracted more than I am.
I know, I know, I heard all of you at that conference in Florida last year – you and all those other cherubs running around saying things like, “…as representatives of the order of the arrow, we aim *hehe* to promote and instill the values that perpetuate growth and harmonious unity…”
BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!
Do you know what you did to me?
Is this in a case file?
I clearly see that you need to go to some kind of arrow training anyway, it appears that you shot Andy’s arrow into his ass, that’s where most of his love is! (*blush, sorta just kidding, but that was a GOOD one huh?)
I just wanted to send this quick e-mail to say, that I know you are busy today, I can be sensitive, but for goodness sake, BE CAREFUL out there.
The jungle is not just in South America anymore. (Is that a business trip for you?)
Look, I work for a big company over here in Los Angeles, you may have even heard of it – www.RentBoy.com.
I think I have seen a couple of invoices from your company at our office.
Don’t worry, I am not the bill collector.
...I know how you work, in the name of love, but please, take it easy with us sensitive ones, I am not done with my own work, I enjoy it too much.
This may sound like a letter that is menacing – not at all.
Really, it’s more like a thank you card in disguise.
On this day of the year, when it's all about you, all about you, all about you - I just want to say, THANKS for all that stuff you do for us all out there.
Man, it's got to be hard watch out for trees and stuff (I hear they some new GPS thing for you after the buget is done.) when you are flying around and other occupational hazards, it’s damn hard work, so yea, I do appreciate your effort.
From a victim's point of view though, buddy, it’s hard to admit when you have so much blood running out of the wound from such a beautiful thing.
Hey Cupie, (...can I call you that?) have a good one, this holiday is for you.
If I can do anything for you, a martini perhaps, *wink* give me a call on my cell phone, I never answer but my voicemails are fun sometimes.
We'll do lunch.
I would say have your people call my people, but actually, please don't. I am backlogged on calls from them. (...and loving it!)
Oh yea, and the Easter bunny said to say hi and he wants that shirt back.
*Uh-huh, I know what you have been up to! I won’t tell!*

My Valentine's Day Obsession - Ben Cohen

*wink*
Today, I have another obesssion.
His name is Ben Cohen!

History of Valentines Day
...to that end, (...and mine.) here is the "Why" for Valentine's Day:
According to church tradition St. Valentine was a priest near Rome in about the year 270 A.D. At that time the Roman Emperor Claudius-II who had issued an edict forbidding marriage.http://www.theholidayspot.com/valentine/history_of_valentine.htm
This was around when the heyday of Roman empire had almost come to an end. Lack of quality administrators led to frequent civil strife. Learning declined, taxation increased, and trade slumped to a low, precarious level. And the Gauls, Slavs, Huns, Turks and Mongolians from Northern Europe and Asian increased their pressure on the empire's boundaries. The empire was grown too large to be shielded from external aggression and internal chaos with existing forces. Thus more of capable men were required to be recruited as soldiers and officers. When Claudius became the emperor, he felt that married men were more emotionally attached to their families, and thus, will not make good soldiers. So to assure quality soldiers, he banned marriage.
Valentine, a bishop , seeing the trauma of young lovers, met them in a secret place, and joined them in the sacrament of matrimony. Claudius learned of this "friend of lovers," and had him arrested. The emperor, impressed with the young priest's dignity and conviction, attempted to convert him to the roman gods, to save him from certain execution. Valentine refused to recognize Roman Gods and even attempted to convert the emperor, knowing the consequences fully.
On February 24, 270, Valentine was executed.
Valentine thus become a Patron Saint, and spiritual overseer of an annual festival. The festival involved young Romans offering women they admired, and wished to court, handwritten greetings of affection on February 14. The greeting cards acquired St.Valentine's name.
Happy Valentines Day
One of the things I am MOST grateful for is love.
Sometimes I feel like I was just walking along and a speeding car with a certain driver and a licence plate that reads "Love." hit me and is still speeding down the road as I wonder what happened and where he is going.
I am grateful I at least think I got to see the licence plate.
"Uh-oh - I think he's coming back, he's going to run me over again."
This blog is to wish you a happy VD.
ummm...let's try that again, Happy Valentine's Day.
I have two more posts about the thing this day centers around, but for now, a simple wish of celebrating Love is good.

NEWS: Out and about: McGreevey Mixes with Gay Mag's A-List
Mississippi Coast Damage
My dad picked me up at the Gulfport airport, or what's left of it and we went to check out the damge on the coast of the gulf of Mexico.
I am so serious when say this is a mess.
I don't know that I can understand why what used to be glorious and expensive houses with a bustling tourist commerce is now nothing but branches and slabs where houses were. How can this be?
This area will be a different when it's rebuilt.
There is still so few business here, but my dad pointed out that there is still no power here.
I nabbed some photos for when I get back to my computer to SHOW you what I mean.
...this message was sent from my PocketPC.

LAX Sunrise and Check-ln
The sunrise over the Los Angeles airport is beautiful.
I wish you could enjoy it too as I head "home" to New Orleans.
WOW!
I am flying a familiar airline today on Northwest Airlines.
They have a hub in Detroit so when I lived there I usually flew out on them
SHAMELESS PLUG: Nathan Brooks
Have you seen www.nathanbrooks.com lately?I haven't either, but you can see some hot new changes if you look at it soon.
I know Nathan from New Orleans way back when.
He is a good guy.
(...and get this - I have not even hooked up with him, and we still talk. *wink*)
I originally HEARD about him from him from Steve at Citiboyz.
Nathan did a flick after I did my first one.
I hear that around town, he is a big thing.
That's way cool, I am glad to hear that.
I got a call today from him about some possibilities about working in New Orleans with RentBoy and HustlaBall.
He served me with the same justice and did not return my voicemail.
Oh well, tomorrow maybe...

PHOTO: Two Colors is Enough - Trust Me!
PHOTOS: Fuel-ing the Night
Fuel is a new bar that opened up in Studio City, or so I was told, I just drove.
(...and trust me, it was okay, after the other night and how I felt afterwards, I was not drinking. Plus, I don't want anything to happen to the Cadillac this weekend.)
Rusty and I drove with his new escort friend Christopher."Go ahead Rusty recruiting new boys, my little recruiter."
We valeted he CTS and strolled in, my in my baby blue button up and pink VonDutch knock off hat and bling-bling earring looking like the blackest white boy you have ever seen.
We got there and Tommy Ritter was already there.YEA!
I don't get to spend enough time with him.
He is looking REALLY good these days with some new muscles.
YUM!
He goes back to Germany today, though...
His two friends were GORGEOUS too.
DAMN, cute boys!
I am glad they are staying here, maybe I will see them again soon somewhere.
Then Angel Benton came too.
YEA!
He is always a treat.
...and a half.
He is always so upbeat, how he does it, I don't know.
Kaballah, (sp?) I think.
I think Christopher took more photos that I will put up, but here is the first ones of us.I know it's dark, my camera phone is like 1.3 megapixels, okay?
Just pretend we were boys of the night.
...from left to right, it's Angel Benton, Brandon "Lesbian-ese" Baker, Rusty Cadillac and Christopher.
BLURRY PHOTOS: Plane Night
Here's what I see what seems to be at least once a week....at least this week, it was from first class.
Well, it was more like second class, first class on AirTran is like second class on most other airlines.
Trust me, I drank up that upgrade charge.
I had 11 drinks on the segment from Atlanta to Los Angeles.
Two vodka and lemonades, two Bailey's and the new Black Cherry Coke and two spaced out Bloody Mary's.
(I know that does not add up to 11, but I thought so.)

THEN, when I landed I went directly to Fiesta and continued to pretend I was on the plane ordering drinks.
...two margaritas.
"Oh there goes Billy Masters. What's he doing in LA? Oh he lives here."
...a vodka and Red Bull. "Hey Tommy Ritter, thanks for the drink. Yea, let's go over to Mickey's. Hey Ben from LA Pride, how are you? I am not drank. When do we land?"
...another rodka and Ved Bull. We must be hitting turbulence, the plane keeps shaking, what the fuck? Where's my airline magazine? Wait, where's the seat-back pocket. I AM in the upright position!"
PHOTO: Dirty Laundry
I have this sock, ...yeah, a sock....that at times, as good as it is, just doesn't fit right.
...but I wear it 'cause I like it and it looks really good one me.
*gulp*
It does not mean that the sock is bad, it just means it doesn't feel right sometimes.
On a recent trip to a Hollywood lundromat early in the morning when I could not sleep, (I wonder why!) the socks got separated.
*boo, hoo!*
After it all came out in the wash, *ahhhhhh...* rather than cast off the unmatched sock, I hang onto the unmatched pair in pathetic hopes that one day, they will somehow match up.
I mean, I have this bag of unmatched socks in my closet.
One sock goes through the wash and get's clean and has fun with the other socks in the water.
*wish, wash, wish, wash*
The other sock is somewhere, we don't know where.
He'll catch up someday though and it will like sock harmony all over again made from dirty laundry.
Someday, when sock A meets up with sock B, sock A will be whiter and sock B will say:
"Why did I not get washed that much?"
"I just stayed in a city two cities back."
"How did this happen?"
This has nothing to do with anything, it just was a smelly thought that I need to clean up.
What is REALLY is is a photo of when I did laundry last night, when I could not sleep.
Part of the yucky reality about traveling this much, is that I never get laundry done.
I wait until I have no more clean clothes and I just bought more and HAVE to do it, then find an all night laundry place, do it myself and watch the dryer spin around and around.
It's like reality TV.
*wink*
PHOTOS: LOTS: More from New York
I LOVE the W Hotels.
I wish I could have stayed there.
I was grateful to be staying at ANY hotel, but one can wish huh?
Onto the world famous Radio City Music Hall.At least I saw it, I don't know what they do there but awards and radio stuff. In the city. Maybe in the halls. *wink*
One of the neat features of this new camera phone that you can see I have been crazy with is the panorama feature. You can see I don't have it perfected yet, but it's close.
...more square times, with bright lights.
I see this is so many places in the media. Movies, music videos, it's a cultural icon of the advertising times.I LOVE IT!
We were at the corner of taste and 48th Avenue or something like that.My mouth watered every day when I passed the Hershey's Chocolate store at Times Square.
What a yummy collage of signs.
One of the nights, we went to Limelight. It USED to be called Limelight.
It was the club in the movie with McCauley Culkin called "Party Monster" that I loved.
It was cool to be in legend.
The only thing, that night went down in the Brandon Books as sucky. The main dance floor was being remodeled, so it was EMPTY the night we went.
ARGH!
...and drinks were like $10.00 each.
This is another sign of the Times. Literally. (Get it? Times Square. Sign. Sign of the Times.) *whew* (...and yes, that was a double meaning.)I am quite impressed that something like this survives in such a public eye.
It's a HUGE billboard for a porn!
HOT!
Andy liked the guy on this billboard.I would wear sunglasses too, it's bright out there.
I would have more photos from my shopping trip alone on 5th Avenue but I was too busy and my hands were full from the Abercrombie & Fitch store.I went shopping CRAZY!
I had to run to 6th Avenue to get away and not spend any more money as I strolled down the avenue in the gorgeous weather.
I saw so many cute boys with pale skin and dark, dark hair.
I like churchs and church doors.
So often, they are beautiful.
Here is a 5th Avenue church that grabbed my attention.
*whew*...and that completes your New York adventure this month.
Stay tuned for the next exciting installment coming soon.
