Lola's in Las Vegas

We found a fun New Orleans restaurant in Las Vegas and got to meet the owner of Lola's in the old Holsum bread factory in Las Vegas.
We plan on going back.

I don't think Jason Pitt liked it too much, he's picky eater, but that's okay, he can have sweet tea, sweetie until he busts! *wink*

Check out the website and menu at http://lolaslasvegas.com/.

Neon Field Trip with the Boys

We had a fun little trip today to the Neon Museum exhibits that are not at the actual Neon Museum. (www.neonmuseum.org)
We went to downtown to Fremont Street with the boys and a girl. (Lisa.)

I really like it and can't wait to go to the real Neon Museum someday.

I am fascinated by the era of Las Vegas and "old" Las Vegas.
It's so cool.

We went to the Golden Gate Casino at the end of what felt like a high school field trip for some $1.99 shrimp cocktail.
The Golden Gate Casino is one of the oldest buildings in Las Vegas dating back from 1906.
I wanted to do something that was neat, nifty and new for the boys.
We always do things that center around a nightclub, so I wanted to do something that was remotely cultural-like and special to Las Vegas so that they boys could say they did something besides the bar.
I did some homework and found out about the Golden Gate so we did something to learn more about Las Vegas culture.

When we were taking the photo of the "Ruby Slipper" a security officer called us over and told us we were getting a ticket for all standing on the island where the sign is. After he quietly told me, "Go with it." he pretended like we were all getting tickets and then told us "...just kidding, have fun." *whew* I really did think, "How am I gonna get us all out of this one?" for a brief moment.

Dinner at the Peppermill in Las Vegas

A few weeks ago, we had dinner at the Peppermill in Las Vegas while there were 7 of us staying at my apartment in Las Vegas.
After dinner went to Krave. (While it's not my favorite place on earth, the night was fun with old friends and new friends.)
...CRAZY times, but CRAZY fun too.

Closet Sundays in Las Vegas at Revolution Lounge

Get it!
...a new night in Las Vegas at the Beatles Revolution Lounge that's touted as being "FOR BOYS WHO LIKE BOYS AND THEIR GIRLFRIENDS."
...sounds interesting.
Hey, "What happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas." right? I'd check it out.
Damn, that boy in the ad is hot.

Bed

I am loving the satin sheets on my bed.

Yes, that's a "Crowne Plaza" hotel pillow and a "Sheraton" pillow on my bed. I have a "thing" for hotels.

If I keep using "quotation marks" and throw in a couple of CAPITAL letters HERE and THERE, you might think I was David Forest. *wink* Man, I am out of quotation control here. ...sorry about that.

I usually make my bed most mornings, it makes me feel better. ...and I am sure lots of it stems from me not wanting to hear my mother yelling at me in years past.

Angel Benton is the GayGuyInTheCorner in my bedroom while he was also the "Princess and the Pea" sitting on a stack of pillows. In his case, it might be more, "Princess and the Pee" since he works for www.boys-pissing.com. Either way, it was fun to have him around at home for a few days. (...these days, it seems I am hardly ever at home.)

I think I want to get my bed from Los Angeles and bring it to Las Vegas. I already had furniture in the Las Vegas apartment, so I didn't have to buy new stuff or move the stuff from California to Nevada, but the platform bed I have in Las Vegas isn't the same as the bed I had in California. I like that the California bed has a headboard and footboard and this one does not.

It's just moving all that stuff out of storage in California is going to be such a bitch. I am dreading it and I have not even decided to do it yet. ARGH!
I am paying an insane amount of money for my Hollywood storage unit each month though - that has to stop soon.
If I haven't needed most of the stuff I have in storage in California yet, I'd like to think I don't need it at all.
I am so bad at things like this.

Sweet Times at the Peppermill in Las Vegas

After I left the Stratosphere last week; Angel Benton, Lisa, and her friend Luis picked me up and we went to the 'Peppermill' or as Angel calls it at times, 'Disco Denny's.'

I don't know how else to describe it other than, "Purple." The looks is very purple. ...like Barney the Dinosaur purple. ...all over.
It's like being in a tacky limo actually.
There is leather on the wall and fake cherry blossom trees all around and above you.
It's a concept that throws me for a loop every time we go there.

They have fun sugar at the table.
It's rainbow colors and big and exciting.
I think I might have poured a little too much in my iced tea this last time, but that's okay.

Where else can you get such a colorful (...and legal.) time with dinner? *wink*

Stratosphere Las Vegas

If you are looking for this in New Orleans, you won't find it. I took this photo of the 'Stratosphere' in Las Vegas as I was leaving it last week.

I thought it was a cool photo because I was standing right at the base.

Office Walls

I am looking at posters on www.allposters.com for my office in Las Vegas.

I want one Las Vegas themed poster.
I want one New Orleans themed poster.
...and I want one "Hotel" themed psoter that represents the hospitality industry in general. I am thinking like an old school "Motel" sign or the lobby of a fancy hotel. ...maybe an abstract hotel bell or an old postcard. When I see it, I'll know it.
I also want one more poster that is a little sarcastic and sexy that people will say is "...too much."

I can spend all day on www.allposters.com so that's not helping.

Here are some of my favorite Las Vegas selections. (...there are so many.)

Silverton, Shady Grove & Missing Mermaids

I went to the Silverton with Lisa last week and took some photos by the aquarium and "mermaid tank" they have.
It was after hours so we didn't get to see any shows, but the tank is so fun to watch for a few moments.

It's really neat.

I also like the area they have called "Shady Grove." I used Twitter to report a few thoughts, however, the airstream trailer nightclub thrilled me. Here's a photo of it after hours.

Hotel Room

Lisa's sister was just visiting at the Las Vegas apartment when I was finishing up in Los Angeles.
In a true HGTV sprit, they redid my room and I love it.
The theme she stuck with was hotels since I love hotels so much.
I have a cute luggage rack near the door now, some new posters on the way for above the bed of the two Roosevelt Hotels - one in New Orleans and one in Hollywood, which are two of "my" cities when I am not in Las Vegas, and some other hotel paraphernalia that I have collected.
One thing she created was this bulletin board that she painted and used old electronic room keys from all over Vegas. (It's no wonder why you might ask that I have so many hotel room keys being an escort. Room keys are one of the few things that almost got me in trouble here in Las Vegas. I was at a hotel that had security at the elevators and had redone the keys and I didn't know and tried to get upstairs to see a client. Oops.)
How cute is that, I mean, how creative is that.

Cindy needs her own show with all the things she did at the apartment, it's really cool.
I am going to need to be her agent. *wink*

I really do love hotel and hotel related stuff. YEA!
