True Blood Drinking

"I'll drink to that."

I ordered a drinking glass and mug from HBO's TV show, 'True Blood.' It's my favorite TV show on right now and I just "had" to have them.
I played right in and was a "sucker" for the marketing.

The glass is from the fictional restaurant that one of the main characters in the TV show works at. If there really was a 'Merlottes Bar and Grille' in Louisiana, this is what Sookie would bring my drinks to the table in.
The other one is a mug that says 'True Blood' on one side and says, "V One drop, that's all you need." on the other side. It's the vampire side of things. "V" refers to real vampire blood which has similar effects as other drugs in real life.

True Blood Maryann Forrester

I am enjoying the TV show True Blood very much.

I still have a special place in my heart for Nip/Tuck. However, it's been canceled. Find out more HERE. The last episode of Nip/Tuck will be in early 2011.

Right now, my favorite character is MaryAnn Forrester.
I think she's trouble. I feel like I shouldn't like her, but I do. I can't help it.
...and I certainly dig the relationship she and Sam Merlotte seem to have had in the past.

If you want to catch up on the show, visit www.watchtvsitcoms.com where you can watch the shows for free. It's wonderful.

I think True Blood is running through my blood. I think about it every day and want more.

True Blood Ads

I was on the page for TrueBlood today and saw some cleverly designed ads that I almost mistook for real ads. The first one that looks like a www.monster.com (...vamp-hire. Whoa.) ad is HILARIOUS.
How crazy is that?

I also say they have some other sites that seem real and go along with the show for the AVL (American Vampire League) and the Fellowship of the Sun. (.org? TOO MUCH! I love it.)
They parallel many real groups in life.
...more craziness.

True Blood

I watched the rest of season 1 of HBO's "True Blood" last night.

I absolutely LOVED it to the last drop. It's right up there in my favorite TV shows with "Nip/Tuck", "Dirt." and "Dawson's Creek."

There are so many hot characters. Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) is of course my favorite.
Lafayette, the black cook at 'Merlottes', is the gayest of characters is even likened to being a hooker.

They compare vampire blood to drugs like ecstasy in the movie. They call it "V" and what happens when they take the "V" is similar to what happens when you take "E." (...or so I hear.)

In the TV show, it's like being a vampire is like being gay. Check out this billboard that is below that says, "God hates fangs." Does it remind you of "God hates fags?" There are so many likenesses to being gay in the movie, it's really cool. The vampires even have vampire bars they hang out in.

Check out the photos below and more HERE.

Bloody New Show on HBO

I was a bit intrigued by a bus stop bench ad I saw for a "Synthetic Blood Nourishment Beverage" which made it seem like an energy drink called "Tru Blood" available in "O, A or B+." It looked like it would be for a person that thought they were a vampire character. Great, more dark marks on Andy Kirra's neck coming right up.
I thought, "Neat, but I think the energy drink craze has gone too far now."
Take a look at the site at www.trubeverage.com and watch the commercial and see why it was seeming off. "This Blood's for you." in "tru" Bloodweiser, errr... Budweiser fashion. (Someone's marketing is fabulous, if you ask me.)

Then odd things continued when I saw a partially hidden ad by tree branches near Hollywood and Vine for a website called www.bloodcopy.com where you can find out about vampire news. The ad asks, "Where were you when vampires came out?" and I thought it has a gay touch to it. However, I thought of the blood beverage ad and thought they look a little alike, and for God's sake, why do I see so many vampire stuff around lately? It was a bit unnerving actually for a couple of days. I even thought to myself, "...maybe it's just me and you have taken it too far, Brandon Baker."

However, if I were back in London I rest easier and could say I saw a bloody new ad for a new TV show on HBO called "True Blood" and things are all making sense now. Bloody hell they are.
I think I am a little excited about this show. I need a little "Nip/Tuck" replacement in my life. I miss the "Dirt"-y-ness with Courtney Cox and the New Orleans is coming out of me and wants to see more of this HBO+ show too. Plus, it looks sexy. Damn sexy.

September 7th, 9:00pm I want to have a bloody party at home for goodness sake and watch the first episode. Bloody goodies and bloody good time. Find out more about the show HERE and HERE on IMDB.
