Old Houston Hotel Cotten

If you know me or pretend to know me, you should know that I love abandoned buildings. They turn me on. Truly.

You also should know that one of the only things I love more than abandoned buildings are hotels.

Here is an abandoned hotel in a downtown area in Houston. (I love downtown areas of big cities, that's where I want to live when I grow up.)
I took two photos, one at the red light and one at the green light as I was driving by. (Probably while I was talking on my phone too. *wink*)

I thought it would be hot to fuck on the front desk. ...or in the managers old office. ...or the banquet hallway. HOT!

I did a little research and found that it was the first hotel in Houston that had bathrooms in every room built in 1913 and formerly the Hotel Cotton.

...even though this is what the hotel looked like this weekend, the website for the hotel is still up and looks like this photo at the left. www.whotelcotton.com is still a functioning website like it takes reservations today.

The history of the building is also on that site currently at the time of this blog at http://hotelcotton.com/hotelcottonhistory.htm.
It must have recently closed, because the website has a operational photo in February of 2006 that shows it open.
