I took these wet looking photos when I was at home with my parents last weekend. We were out shopping at the "Bayou Country Store" on the Northshore (...of Lake Pontchartrain.) and it started to just pour rain. It went from sun drenched to rain drenched as quick as I could price the next item.
They have the store set up like a Cajun "Camp" might look like o'er dere in dat dere bayou in Louisiana, yea?
In my own humble opinion, the rain in New Orleans can be a beautiful thing as well as a deadly thing.
...this particular day, it was not the latter.
I stepped out in the humidity and took a few photos of what I call home.I even sat on the rocking chair before I went back to finishing shopping. I felt like 'Bartles & James' but I didn't know which one.
When I could see clearly now that the rain was gone, I went back inside, but not before I snapped a few photos of what I appreciated at that moment.
My mom's health is failing, so I am extra excited when she musters up enough energy and strength to go out even if it's the backyard.
It's one thing for me to my own life on the Internet, but I try not to do that to too many other people too often. I blur out my mom and dad only out of respect.I was able to get a few photos this time of all of us in the Cajun country.
I have wonderful parents whom I am very thankful for. (..most of the time. *wink*)
