Folsom Street Fair Booth Boys

Thanks Michael for this photo of the boys at the booth this weekend in San Francisco for the Folsom Street Fair.

HustlaBall New York 2009 Sponsors

Special thanks to these companies who helped to make HustlaBall happen.

When you go spend your next porno dollar, please send some of it the way of these guys.
It's thanks to these companies that we are able to throw such a crazy, sexy party and pay for bills like the hotel and flights for the porn stars to be there. (...and that's just the beginning.)

NoH8 Campaign Photos

I was able to take my very own "NOH8" campaign photo in Los Angeles more than a month ago.
Adam Bouska (www.bouska.net) is an amazing photographer.

What is the "NOH8" campaign? Find out HERE or at www.noh8campaign.com.

My own photo is at:
http://www.bouska.net/noh8/gallery/1449.jpg but you can see all of the photos at http://www.bouska.net/noh8/gallery.htm.

Some of my friends that I went with that have great photos too:

Others that are special and stand out to me are: (...but not limited to.)

GayDays Orlando 2009 - Brian's Photos

My friend Brian also gave me some photos from GayDays in Orlando that I don't know if I had or not.

I always like the GayDays event and am getting ready for the Anaheim, CA on this coming weekend.

Costa Rica

After I left Ft. Lauderdale, I went to Costa Rica for a day on my "All You Can Jet" pass from JetBlue.
Jason Carter told me about a hotel and I used his recommendation. http://www.kekoldi.com/san-jose-e-index.htm

It was a quick trip and I did go by myself and it felt odd, but I totally liked it and think I can get used to traveling by myself more often.

As I look back on the trip, I think it was like a step back in time.
Look at these photos, in one, the 'Radio Shack' logo looks like it's from the 80's.
In one of the other photos, you can see a travel agency I passed with the TWA logo still in the window. Ummmm, they've been gone since 2001 eh? There is also an old British Airways logo in the window. Interesting.

I totally lost track of time.
I got some good rest and went out and came back to the hotel and then went back out. It was refreshing.
I thought, "...as long as I make my flight back to New York, I am okay."
I didn't know what time zone it was or exactly how long I was there, but it was way cool.

Ft. Lauderdale Weekend Away

Last weekend, not the one that just passed which was the Folsom Street Fair weekend, I used my JetBlue "All You Can Jet" pass to go to Orlando on Friday and Costa Rica on Saturday.
I stayed at Howard's house in Ft. Lauderdale and had a WONDERFUL weekend.

Some of the highlights were:
  • Rusty even came to share some of the time. YEA! I totally was glad to see him. I miss him so much.
  • Nick Cross came too. He's a feisty ball of sexy energy.
  • We went to Johnny's in Ft. Lauderdale. I LOVED the club. Howard gets the royal treatment there, so that was cool. (He deserves royal treatment everywhere!)
  • Howard texted me to come back to the office quickly and I discovered him holding a monkey.
  • Jason Pitt joined me too, that' was cool. He's been really fun to have around lately.
  • My friend Brian hung out with us for some of the trip too. He's amazing and so opposite me, it's a beautiful thing, really. He can come across as abrasive sometimes, but he's got good intentions.
  • We all went to the this all you can eat Japanese place that is really growing on me. ...and making me grow. *wink*
  • We went to Boardwalk and I got to see "Auntie Mame." ...for some reason, she's one of my favorite drag queens in the US.
  • We went to Rosie's (formerly Hamburger Mary's) in Ft. Lauderdale from lunch and I got to meet the editor of 411 Magazine. He's so cool. We were joined by Tommy DeFendi and Kain Warn of the 2010 rentboy.com calendar as well.
  • I met Bobby Rail who needs to stop his hotness right now. He's really sexy.
  • Howard and I had some dinner meetings and I got to spend some quality time with him which is priceless in my book.
  • I got to hand out with my friend, Auston and go to a Tapas restaurant before we went to Pulse and the Parliament House that night.
It was one of the busiest and most satisfying weekends I have had in years.

It was one of the most comfortable, wonderful, relaxing weekends I have had in a long time.

Party in the Emergency Room

The Saturday night of the Folsom Street Fair, I had my own party. ...at the emergency room. Nope, it's not a new nightclub. I mean the real hospital emergency room.

Saturday night, I had this back pain that felt like there were big weights on my back and it was hard to breathe.
I had the same pain about two days before, but I just slept it off and it went away, I thought it was 'cause I didn't sleep enough or something.

I went to Magnitude with Jeff, Fabrice and DJ and every step I took hurt so much. I am not one to just mosey on over to the doctor for just anything, it's got to be bad. I think I have been to the doctor two or three times in the last three years and once to the emergency room (...for my own well being.) in the last 10 years.
Saturday night, at Magnitude, I made my way around so that I could see the set-up and make some mental notes for HustlaBall as to what worked well for them and what I thought we might be able to make better.
I managed to sneak out of there after about 30 minutes and went back to the hotel I was staying at.
I didn't want to tell Jeff and all the boys that were poised to have a good time something like, "I don't feel good." and bring them down, so I let them go quietly.
After about 20 more minutes there, I could not bear the pain anymore and went down to the front desk and asked for the nearest ER. The front desk guy did not know, but he said he'd ask the operator. I went to the front and asked a taxi driver and he took me. ...about 5 blocks away. can you believe that? I mean, it's wonderful that it was so close to the hotel but a damn shame that the front desk of the hotel did not know that. I mean really...
I also can't help but think that when the taxi driver said, "Do you need me to call 911?" I answered back, "They wont' get me there any faster than you will." and I thought and would have said is "Hell no, I can't imagine what the insurance is going to cost as it is, so just drive please."

Upon arriving at the ER, I fortunately went to the front of the triage line and the nurse put me in a room for the doctor to see quickly.
They put an IV into me so that the delivery of the medicine they were giving me after all the tests was absorbed by my body as quick as it could be.
The nurse asked, "Do you have a history of cardiac problems in your family?" I just shook my head in the movement of yes.

The nurse said, "Do you eat a lot of spicy food?" followed by "Do you drink often?" and "Do you smoke?" The only thing I could say no to was the last question. Who knew? I can't believe that of all the bad things I do to my body, spicy food is one of the first downfalls. I mean, seriously? Are you kidding me?

The way I figure it, isn't your body is designed to fight off illness and stuff, so I think, "Let it do it's thing." most of the time.
I mean, a fever is your body raising the temperature to kill a germ, a scab is your body's way of keeping something out, so I try to just let my body do what it needs to, etc.
...not so much this night, I was ready for an intervention.

The doctor discharged with me with a packet of papers that I am sure is going to cost my insurance thousands of dollars that says "Gastritis versus Ulcer." that I am now just pissed off at and want to light on fire.
She said it seems like "Gastritis" but has many of the symptoms of an ulcer, so I needed to check with a general doctor when I get home.

The clock said 4:15am and I walked back to the hotel in the cool San Francisco weather and got two hours of sleep before heading to unload the car on Folsom Street at 7:30am.

Thank goodness for insurance, I can't imagine what it would have been without it.

Now I have to figure out what I am going to do next besides get this medicine, eat some blander foods and be upset.

Red Light District

If you are in or around Ft. Lauderdale, be sure to check out the new" Red Light District" event at "The Club" in Ft. Lauderdale.

I haven't been there in ages, but it's a really nice space. (You can see the club the "Not Another Gay Movie" flick.)

Howard at FabScout has put this event together in his stomping ground in Southern Florida.

New Orleans Coaster Memories

I got some special New Orleans coasters while I was home last.

These are all things that remind me of New Orleans.

OutQ Radio with Derek & Romain for HustlaBall New York

Here are some photos from when I was in New York and went with Jeff and Daniel from my office on Sirius/XM radio with Derek & Romaine's OutQ channel.

After we were done at the radio show, Jeff treated us to dinner at Chevy's in Times Square with the boys.

Jurassic Parking

I really liked the movie, Jurassic Park.

The cars in the movie fascinate me.
Partly because of product placement, also because of the style.
(I thought I took a photo of the forth vehicle type, but I guess not, sorry about that.)

I like that Universal Studios has created a faux, "Jurassic Park" at the theme park so that you feel like you could be at the real one. Neat.

Boy of the Moment - Francesco D'Macho and Damien Crosse

DAMN!

Damien Crosse and Francesco D'Macho are looking HOT! HOT! HOT!

MEMORY LANE: The Hotel Days

I was looking for some photos and came across some photos from the old hotel I was the general manager of in Ohio.

  • The inflatable bellman was the closest thing we had to a bellman. Hey it was a limited service hotel.
  • I had a HUGE office. The inn I was assigned to manage was a new inn that was built to impress owner operators so I was very lucky. ...most of the other standard inns of that brand had an office slightly bigger than a closet since the company wanted the general managers out on the property.
  • The towels embroidered with the word, "Princess" were a gift from my staff for boss' day. Can you believe that? I know it was mainly one key employee who did it for me, but it was special. I immediately had the maintenance guy install a towel rack in my office and hung them up. HOT!
