LoveShack at Numbers

The new night at Numbers on Wednesday since "Industry" has moved to Saturday is now an 80's night. The "new" 'Numbers' encompasses a broader section of the population and is set to be some more wild nights.

If you are in West Hollywood and have an open mind, head over to party at Numbers.

I recently read an e-mail after a patron said something about the dress code at "Numbers."
"Numbers has been known as a hustler bar for 33 years, but the truth is bars down the street have more hustlers in a night than we do in a month. Your point about boys walking around in underwear is well taken, and we are NOT going to be having boys anymore on a regular basis. We are aiming to become more mainstream, and welcome anyone for a nice place to spend part or all of their evening. There will be only one night a week that will have boys and girls that will be dressed more risque, and that will be Saturday nights (used to be every Wednesday). It's called "Industry," and it's about porn stars. On that night the host will be fully clothed until around 10pm, and also please keep in mind they are part of the hosting and venue. They will be classed up, so it is not as skimpy as it use to be. Please keep this in mind, if you went to a cabaret show, you wouldn't take off your clothes just to fit in. You would still probably get dressed up to go out to that venue.
Our vision is to make it a special place where WeHo can be proud of once again. It was known as an iconic place where Hollywood socialites use to go, and have a great dinner and never be bothered. Our aim is to make it once again that, which it was world famous for. It wasn't all about hustlers even back then, it was known for fine food, great bar & restaurant, and a elegant safe haven for anyone and everyone."
I can totally appreciate that and want it to work well for Numbers. It's tough to find a niche in this market. Really.
You can bet when I am back in Los Angeles, I will stopping by to check it out and spend some time there. I want Numbers to be part of my world. (...and yours.)

Number's Industry Night Moves to Saturday

The Jefferson's did it, now 'Numbers' in West Hollywood is too.
The "Industry" night is "Movin' On Up."

You can now catch the popular Wednesday night event called, "Industry" on Saturday.
"Industry" is a night where fans and fanatics can mingle with their favorite porn stars from, you guessed it, the adult "Industry".

It's growing though. Now "Industry" will include straight male porn stars, female porn stars and the gay porn stars we have come to count on.
I even hear that straight female pron star sensations Jenna Jameson and Jesse Jane may be there soon to bring another side of the adult world closer to the table. Literally.

I like the idea of blending the two facets of the adult world and being a fun, sexy part of the pornographic world as a while. (...er should I say hole?) I like to see a few straight male porn stars here and there. *wink*

The Entire Drink Menu

So I had fun last night. (Is it yesterday night or last night? I always want to say yesterday night because it's the night of yesterday, but I get flack here and there. Whatever...)
Jason had this fun idea that we were going to try every cocktail on the Cosmopolitan Grand Central menu at Numbers between the two of us. Wait, but that's not all. We were going to rate them.
If you look to the scanned document to the below to the left, you can see the results. ...and hilarious results they were.
Here's a few thoughts from the Brandon side of things, which apparently went to the wayside earlier than Jason's;
  1. We started from the bottom up. (...really, he did more than I.) You can see that the last drink listed, (...which was actually the first.) the Strawberry Dip Cosmo, has a clear number to each side and things were looking good. However, as you look up the list, things went haywire and crazy. (...as they normally do.)
  2. There is an added column for Seth and Fabrice. Were they there too? I don't recall. Hey guys! *wink* (...just kidding.) I guess the company grew as the night progresses which is what going out is all about sometimes huh? ...that must have been fun.
  3. It appears that we totally missed four of the drinks. The Raspberry Cosmo, Blue Sea Cosmo, the Triple Citrus (...that sounds good.) and the Classic Grand Marnier Cosmo are next, watch out. No Cosmo is safe.
  4. If you drank each of the Cosmos by yourself, the total would have been $236.00. (I don't think that's too bad, actually.) We split it between the two of us and I am still trying to decipher my receipts this morning, but splitting it was a great way to do it, I think.
  5. My taste buds think everything is a Cosmo this morning though. I went to breakfast with Rusty this morning to the "French Quarter Restaurant" on Santa Monica when Rusty returned home this morning from his last night. *wink* HOT! The waiter asked us if we wanted a drink to start our brunch and I cringed.
  6. I think the cocktails tasted better the first time when I drank them rather then when I threw them up all night and headed into a hangover from hell this morning. Ouch! It all started about 4:20am when I woke up and thought Rusty's apartment was a disco and was spinning. It kicked off when I decided to move my comforter to the bathroom floor and lounge there for a few hours so I didn't have to spin so far to do the next round of throwing up. I discovered that if I drank some iced tea in between each throwing up session, it didn't taste as bad. (Did I really just say that?)
  7. What the fuck is a "Bloody Orange Cosmo?" ...and citrus fruit that got beat up? I can't believe I imbibed something called that. Whoa.
  8. We moved to a table for dinner with Joe, Fabrice and Seth and I really enjoy's Joe's company. He's a cool guy. He just got a haircut that looks good. I am glad he asked me to join him for dinner.
  9. I am tickled by the "Brandon [hearts] Jason" at the top. It started as the Brandon side of the chart as opposed to the Jason side of the chart for our rating number. Judging by the fact that it it is in blue pen and the first blue pen marking is the marking of Jason's Pineapple Prince Cosmo's rating of 9.5, (...which must have put him in a good mood apparently.) I presume that the "heart-ing" came around that time. It appears that we lost the blue pen and went to some black marker after that. What was my point of that? Oh yea, the [heart] was fun to see this morning. It's reminiscent of the t-shirt I wore in Chicago one year that says, "I [heart] Jason Sechrest." (What was I thinking?)
  10. Where did we come up with the .5's? ...that made me laugh a little out loud. Seriously.
  11. Next to the Peachy Peach Cosmo, I am going to bet that it was Fabrice who gave it a 10 because it, "Tastes like a young boy came in your mouth." Nice. I don't know about you, but if that's what cum in the mouth tastes like, they must be from Georgia or something. (Brock!)
  12. What the fuck did I try to write in all capital letters at the bottom? I still don't know.
I have to say, what a crazy night. I felt like today should have been Saturday. ..with a bad headache.
"Sex in the City" might have made the Cosmo famous, but we just made it "infamous." Fierce.

Numbers 'Legends in Drag' Night

'Numbers' in West Hollywood has a new drag night called "Legends in Drag" beginning on Sunday, December 7th. Unfortunately, I am out of town that night in Detroit. However, I can't wait to go to the night when I return.

I am seriously thinking I'd like to do a night in drag again after Halloween. (It was so much fun.)

I absolutely love this artwork for the night. The vintage postcard idea is brilliant. It's something I would want to write home about too. (...and I may need to. *wink*)

Whenever I would show my dad photos of drag queens from when I was out and about in New Orleans, he would ask, "Now is that one real?" I would play, "Let's spot the real girl." when I would take my dad out. Believe it or not, he did go out with me once to "Lucky Chengs" in New Orleans and it was a hoot! (I think it's one of the few times I have seen him drink liquor. Well, that time and when he does communion at church, but that does not count.) When I introduced him to some friends, I was like, "This is my dad." and my friend was like, "...like your daddy or your father?" I had to explain that he's the one that was the one who helped me come into the world. *wink* CRAZY!

Industry at Numbers

Here is a fierce photo from the new night at Numbers last night called "Industry" in West Hollywood.
This is one photo that Jason Sechrest sent to me today that I just love. I mean, I really like this photo.

INDUSTRY@NUMBERS
Thanks to http://www.localitesman.com for this wonderful photo. WELL DONE!

You won't find too many photos of Numbers and whether the reputation of it is true or not, I like that when I was going to do a post on the history of Numbers the other day, I could not find many photos online. Don't think too hard about that, but it's probably a good thing that I could not find too many photos of it.

Numbers and the New 'Eye Candy'

'Numbers Restaurant and Bar' (Numbers Bar; 8741 Santa Monica Blvd. West Hollywood, CA 90069 310-652-7700)
is a place of nostalgia and the thrill of connecting with a real live "Working Boy."

While this is not the official www.rentboy.com night we do on the last Friday of each month, it's a little unique because every night at 'Numbers' is technically a www.rentboy.com night. *wink*
You can read more about that later on and mark your calendars for the 26th of September for the official www.rentboy.com night where the website comes to life.

This new night is going to be called "Eye Candy" and is every Thursday.
Look at the fierce drink specials. $1, $2, and $3 shot specials. ...that's cool.
...and a half price bar menu from 5:00pm to 10:00pm. I really like the new bar menu and for those that are a little worried about Numbers being stuffy - nonsense. The bar menu is a good "in" to just jump right in. It's a gourmet menu still and yummy. (I have enjoyed it a few times already.)

'Numbers' is designed for interaction of our sort, you have to check it out. It's beautiful and can I just tell you, "You don't have to take my word for it." I have no vested interest in the place other than I am proud of the fact that they are going to the escort roots and not ashamed of it in the least. I have been able to get to know the owners and they impress me. They are trying hard, they have good ideas, great energy, are not afraid to get wet and share the road. I am proud of them.

I know Thursdays are the 'Tigerheat' night, but if you want to run out beforehand and grab a bite to eat and check out some great eye candy, look no further.
...and it won't break the bank. What you do after you get there with your bank is your own business. (...and mine.) *wink*
