Fuck the Angry Mom

...here's more from "The Dark Side of the Adult World" department.

I heard today of an e-mail that was received from an angry parent.
It sent me into a personal tizzy again. (I really need to stop letting that happen.)
In my own head, I was outraged and pissed off at this parent.
I thought of my own parents reaction when I told them about what I did. (...which was to say, "Well, it's not what I would have chosen for you, but if you are going to do it, I am going to have to try to understand it some more.) THANKS Mom and Dad!
I then try to reason with myself and think of the other person's point of view. It was harder in this case because I am biased. (...and trying not to be, especially when I report.)
...then I keep thinking of how narrow minded this parent was to write a note that reads in part;

What you are doing with my son <...> is against all morals and a disgrace to society.

How can you live with the sins and disgrace that you are causing to all the boys envolved in this explicit pornorography.

This type of recruiting should be against the law <...> others involved in persueding my son to do these disgraceful videos just so that you can envolve young nice looking boys into your sinful world of porn.

This is against all of his values and respect that he was taught to have for himself and his own body. His family is in disgrace over these videos that have been posted on the internet.

This company should be shut down <...>.

Yes, my son in in need of money but this is the most God awful situation that you could possibly allow these young boys to get into just to make a couple of dollars.

I'm sure others along with his family will agree to taking whatever action is needed to stop this recruiting of young boys where you are offering them money to distroy there lives and reputation now and for the rest of their lives.

I'm sure the press and others would also like to know what is actually going on on the internet.

You should be assamed and so should everyone involved.

Respectfully Submitted,

<...>

Did she say "respectfully?" Really? Fuck that.

I am disgusted by this letter.

Everyone makes their own choices with the exception of a few isolated incidents that are certainly not the case here.

The performer contacted the company and of his own will engaged in filming.

No one forced anyone to do anything, and legally pursued his own options in his performance.

Cases like this happen here and there, but it floors me that an adult parent would send something like this. Yuck.

Some of the things I always tell new porn stars and escorts are;

"If you think no one will find out about this, you are only fooling yourself."

"The minute photos go up online, they are there for good."

"Prepare yourself for when the people you don't want to find out about it, find out about it. It's gonna happen, hot stuff."

Recently I battled with my own, "What the fuck am I doing?" issue, but this is too much for me to handle.

...after sorting that out with close friends and myself, I know I speak for more than just myself when I say I hope that this performer is proud of sharing his beautiful body and his talents with the world.

Site of the Moment - www.ManNet.com

If you are looking for your favorite porn star past or present, he probably a link on www.ManNet.com.

Check out http://mannet.com/links.htm for a one stop type of shop and very informative source for your information tastebuds. I think of it as a full plate of yummy goodness.

Butch Harris who runs that site also has reviews out the yin-yang on porn movies that I didn't even know existed. Wow.

If you are a freelance artist of the pornograhpic arts, you may find this link (http://mannet.com/directory.htm) especially helpful.
Howard at FabScout would kill me, but if you prefer the edge where you work it yourself, here are listings of all the studios and who to contact. (Caution: A very small portion of it is dated.)
If you decide to go the agent route, Howard's the way to go.

The Adult Industry, Athletes, and a Milk Carton

I just read an article in the current issue of The Free Speech Coalition's newsletter called the "Free Thinker. The article is called "Financial Planning for Adult Industry Performers" by Marty O'Malley.

I remember when I first started porn made thousands of dollars on a fun-filled weekend in Ft. Lauderdale. Then I fell into escorting and made hundreds at a time.
I remember when everyone told me, "Are you saving that money?" and I was like, "Sure, a little. It'll be okay." It was very hard to keep myself in check and combat the thoughts like, "I am not like every other porn star. It won't happen to me." ...at times very hard.

A little while ago, I got a reprise when I was looking for health insurance, something I had done without for awhile just 'cause it was so unimportant. I am lucky enough that I didn't have a reason to go get the insurance, I was being a bit preemptive. Nothing happened where I saw someone get hurt who didn't have it, I just thought, "I have pulled this off long enough, it's time to grow up a make an adult decision here and get it done."

The article has one line that Morgan pointed out to me that I agree with whole bunch. In fact, if I could offer an aspiring porn star just a few pieces of advise, one of them would be what the writer says to a 23 year old.
"What do adult industry performers, athletes and a carton of milk have in common?" Answer: "They all have an expiration date."
I could not have said it any better.

...at some point, I wish I knew WHAT point, I concluded, "Obviously, I am not going to last forever in porn. So I am going to make the absolute most of the time that I can. I am going to as close to overboard as I can and pull myself back." I had fun everywhere, most of the time with just about everyone.
Now I have a unique opportunity to stay in the adult industry on a new level.

I also see many more things now that I did not before. The article points out that Al Capone was put in jail for tax evasion, nothing else. If I am not mistaken, so was Heidi Fleiss.

Lord knows I can't plan. It was hard enough for me to pound it out on the keyboard just now, but what I can argue is that I hope everyone at least plans where they are going to hide when the police come after them.
