Numbers 'Legends in Drag' Night

'Numbers' in West Hollywood has a new drag night called "Legends in Drag" beginning on Sunday, December 7th. Unfortunately, I am out of town that night in Detroit. However, I can't wait to go to the night when I return.

I am seriously thinking I'd like to do a night in drag again after Halloween. (It was so much fun.)

I absolutely love this artwork for the night. The vintage postcard idea is brilliant. It's something I would want to write home about too. (...and I may need to. *wink*)

Whenever I would show my dad photos of drag queens from when I was out and about in New Orleans, he would ask, "Now is that one real?" I would play, "Let's spot the real girl." when I would take my dad out. Believe it or not, he did go out with me once to "Lucky Chengs" in New Orleans and it was a hoot! (I think it's one of the few times I have seen him drink liquor. Well, that time and when he does communion at church, but that does not count.) When I introduced him to some friends, I was like, "This is my dad." and my friend was like, "...like your daddy or your father?" I had to explain that he's the one that was the one who helped me come into the world. *wink* CRAZY!

Robin Cars - Drag Queen Personality

One time when I was driving to the nightclub called "Ripples" in Long Beach, there was a lady sneaking around the cars parked on the streets.
As she moved around, I asked Andy Kirra, "Is she robbing cars?"
However, he thought I asked if she was "Robbin' cars." which sounded like "Is she Robin Cars?" like I was asking if she was a person that I knew and her name was "Robin Cars."
After I explained what I meant, it was a drag personality we created in our own heads that night.

Now searching for drag queen clip art to put with this post landed me with these photos.
The one to the right with white hair is so what I would want to look like. She's cool.
Now the one to the left, I had to make sure was not a photo of Angel, Rusty, Andy and I from the old days. *wink* Now that's some drag QUEENS. HOT!

Tori Baker

Don't worry, I didn't do drag again. Gosh, I make an awful woman.

Murphy visited http://www.marykay.com/whatsnew/virtualmakeover/default.aspx and used a photo from my MySpace to make this.
I think it's pretty amazing that technology can do this. YIKE!

Man, I hope no one pisses me off this week, I will have Murphy make them over in drag and put up the photos. *wink*

Ruby Ann Boxcar

I heard that Ruby Ann Boxcar (www.rubyannboxcar.com) is in Hollywood. YEA!

I remember Ruby Ann from when I was writing for INTOUCH Magazine in Las Vegas and she was also connected to the 'Get Booked' store in Las Vegas.

Ruby Ann is hilarious and certainly has a special look.
I am tickled by it.
I love the trailer park theme.

She wrote a series of books you can find HERE.

I hope I can get her to do some events here in Los Angeles when it's an appropriate fit.

Check out her MySpace page at http://www.myspace.com/rubyannboxcar.

NEWS: Texas Take on Drag Queens

Wow, this is crazy.
First of all, you have to understand that drag is BIG in Texas. It's a way of life, folks. ...way. of. life.
One of my friends in Dallas sent me this link and I can't believe it.
WHAT THE FUCK?
The owner thinks he can ban drag queens from his bar because they don't match their ID photo.
Whoa, I am a bit outraged.

Check out the news story HERE.
