New York is busy and so am I. Surprise.
(If you think about that, I am not THAT busy huh 'cause I am writing in my blog. If I was truly busy, I wouldn't be spending the time blogging now would I?)I don't really like New York. It's not my thing. I much prefer Los Angeles.
No joke, part of the reason is that I don't like to get lost in the crowd. Here in New York, I am little fish. In Los Angeles, I have a fairly established place in the pond and the sexier side of the adult industry and monkey business that goes on.
I can admit my pompousness. (...and my ill comfort in it.) In LA, I can generally make a call and get most things done if I can't myself. Here it's not that easy yet.
(I need to be more like my boss Jeff who can do that anywhere in the world and make it seem effortless.)
I am sure part of the reason is being in New York signifies a pivotal point in my position in the company most of the time. When I am in 'The Big Apple' this fruit is generally here because both of my bosses are as well and we need to make a decision.
As much as I adore my boss Tom, being in New York is his game. It's a hard balance to respect that and give him what I know he wants and deserves, but assert my own worth. It can be done, it's just harder than I thought.
Still another part of the reason is I am not familiar with New York. It's natural to be uncomfortable with things you are not familiar with.

I am glad I am not at a hotel this time. It's just me, no Rusty, no Angel, no Andy, sometimes I wonder where I really am. *wink* Not having my assistance, I mean assistants. I mean,
(...well you know what I mean. *wink* ) spells a little bit less time in decision making when I know it's only going to be me dealing with the immediate result.
The office has a very comfortable living space attached that I am thankful to no end that I don't have to travel to and from. All I have to do now to get to work in the morning is put my socks on. Plus it's on 5th Avenue. That's hot.
The times zones are a little off too. At home in Los Angeles I would be 3 hours earlier.
When I get up and start work here about 9:00am, it's only 6:00am there. Rusty is probably just making it home. *wink* The alcohol from the night before is probably just working it's way out of Andy's little body. Angel is pre-bloggi

ng his next
prolific experience in his dreamlike state. ...and I am in the office ready to get moving on calling everyone who is never going to answer the phone that early.
When I have worked all day
(Yesterday, I wandered over to my office here about 9:00am and left about 9:05pm to go meet some friends for dinner.) and it's 10:00pm and the office space is all mine again - it's only 7:00pm at home and I would be thinking about where we were going to go out in LA or what VIP area we are going to rock that week. *wink*
Some would say that my own time zones are off. Brandon Baker time is a whole 'nother ball game folks, but I don't know how bi-coastal people that do this all time handle it.
...that's my New York minute.
