This from a South African commercial for Gaviscon, an antacid. It illustrates what can go wrong when someone who is ESL (English as a second language) writes the punch line for the advertisement.

True Credit Commercials
I'm sorry, I know it's bad, but I laugh so hard at these commercials.
I especially like the one at the 1:24 minute mark for some awful reason. I would have laughed so hard at that wedding, I might have peed in the pew.
I want to get TrueCredit just because these are so funny.

Southwest Airlines Commercial - HILARIOUS!
I laughed so hard when I saw this commercial. (I can so imagine doing something like that. SHIT!)
I have some other funny airline commercials on my Facebook from yesterday.
Here's another one with a GREAT message behind it that I know I need to pay attention to.

Virgin Atlantic Red Hot Commerical
I just saw this Virgin Atlantic airline commercial celebrating the 25th anniversary of the airline when I was flying back to Las Vegas from London.
Look at the cell phone he's using in this video, damn.
Look at the cell phone he's using in this video, damn.
VS1 from Gatwick to Newark, New Jersey on 22nd June 1984, was a miracle in itself having been planned in just a few weeks. MORE...the description on the video goes on to say;
Now, Virgin America (I think they meant Virgin Atlantic though.) uses 38 aircraft to fly six million people a year to 30 destinations around the world. The staff of 9,000 have built an airline that, after 25 years, is still red hot; an airline that focuses on being the best, not the biggest, and injects customer service and innovation into its daily philosophy.

Spring 4G Commercial
I don't know what this Sprint commercial is talking about. It's all numbers like college algebra and accounting. Ouch, my brain hurts.
...and what the fuck? a 4G network? It sounds like four-gy, which sounds like threesome. ...a little. I don't know. I am not even used to the 3G. Oh gee... or is that OG?
I have a headache.
...and I've left a phone in a taxi. I thought I was the only one. Doh.

First Citywide Change Bank
I remember seeing a commercial similar to this on Saturday Night Live back in the day that made me laugh.
Can you believe how many "commercials" SNL has done? Visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Saturday_Night_Live_commercials for a list of the parodies.

Cool Mastercard Commercial
I saw this commercial today and seriously, it made me so happy. I love it. It was so fierce. I mean - SO FIERCE! ...this is of my new favorite commercial.
I love collaborations of things like this with characters from so many places and companies. YEA!
The message behind this is a good one too. YEA for that too.

Pole Dancing Ampe'd Mobile Commercial
Howard also sent me this fierce commercial that involves pole dancing from "Amp'd Mobile" which proves that, "I saw it on TV." doesn't always cut it.
...then I found a few more funny ones from the same brand.

SoBe Commercial
This Superbowl commercial has a whole lot going on, but I like the song in it. I downloaded it on iTunes for my iTouch, I like it so much. (SoBelieve feat. Stacy Barthe.)
Here are some other fun game day commercials. (I like the commercials better than the Superbowl itself.)

Bass-O-Matic Commercial
I remember staying up late and watching this commercial parody on Saturday Night Live. I always liked the "commercials" they did more than the show sometimes.
This one still grosses me out sometimes. YUK!

It's intermission time, and here are some classic intermission videos. (I think I like the first one with the, "Let's all go to the lobby." song.)

VW Brooke Shields Commercial
I saw this commercial with Brooke Shields, who is looking HOT! HOT! HOT! and thought it was hilarious when I saw it with Lisa the first time.
There is another one you can find at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDZSxFLcMVg. I think there is a few more in the series as well actually, but this will do for now.

Old Spice Double Body Wash Hot Guy/Horse Ad
This guy is kinda hot, but the commercial is just too weird. It's for 'Old Spice Double Body Wash.'
The website is even more weird and supposed to be sexual I am sure, but it's lost in the weird-ness of it all. I think. www.ItsTwoThings.com redirects to http://www.oldspice.com/doubleimpact/ and is a little much. If you open to the main page and just let the guy ramble on and on, it's kinda funny what he says.

"Simma Down Na"
Gosh, I love this skit on Saturday Night Live.
ESPECIALLY after the four minute mark, it's too much for me to handle and not fall on the floor laughing.
Season 25: Episode 17

Female Customer #2: Hi, um, I just bought a Kiddy Castle Meal for my son and there isn't a prize in it.
Nadeen: Oh, so you would like an "extra" Road to El Dorado figurine?
Female Customer #2: No, I don't want an extra figurine; I want the one that wasn't in the Kiddy Castle Meal I bought.
Nadeen: Ma'am, it's called a "Castle Meal", not a "Hassle Meal", ya best simmah!
Female Customer #2: Simmah? How bout I simmah to your manager?
Nadeen: Fine, Curtis? Up here again ya hear? Up again hear? Come on!
Curtis: Yeah?
Nadeen: Curtis…

5 Minutes Please
I say and THINK I am from New Orleans, however, it wasn't until my sophomore year that I moved from the city of Detroit to New Orleans.
I remember this commercial for the Detroit Zoo very well and I don't think that a week goes by when I don't tell someone in what I think is a few different ways of animal speak, "5 minutes, please, just 5 minutes." Of course, it makes perfect sense in my head. Now maybe it will make more sense to some people when I say it around them.
...and one more note, I can't believe this was on YouTube. Wow.

Let California Ring Commercial
I love this commercial.
I mean, I don't know that I agree with the sentiment, but I sort of do. It's tough for me actually. ...that's a whole 'nother post and if someone reminds me, I can do more about that later. (I am talking about gay marriage.)
The cinematic way the message gets across is wonderful.
I paid attention to the message regardless of whether I agree or not and was delivered a powerful idea in a emotional plea but still entertained enough to want to pay attention. (I know that's a lot to handle...)
I am a FIRM believer that half the battle is often how you present things.

Circuit City vs. Mad Magazine
I was tickled by THIS REPORT on "Consumerist" about Circuit City and a parody ad in 'Mad Magazine' where the corporation apologizes for a quick and not so PC (...and I don't mean 'Personal Computer') reaction.I really like that 'The Consumerist' pointed out this:
I particularly enjoyed the end of the "Circuit City" apology where the PR office also poked a little fun at the situation and said,Let's evaluate it on the 3-step system for fixing corporate gaffes:
1. Admitted they were wrong
2. Stopped doing the wrong thing
3. Made a material gesture of apology
In addition I have offered to send the MAD Magazine Editor a $20.00 Circuit City Gift Card, toward the purchase of a Nintendo Wii....if he can find one!
(I also want to thank my well informed friend for turning me onto the "consumer beware" website, it's one of my favorites now and I check it regularly and have it on my RSS feed list.)
