Simple Government

The government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
- Ronald Reagan

Boy of the Moment - Andrew Blue

Andrew Blue has a hot photo on his MySpace AND a fierce saying as well.

Of course, I am partial to the photo because I can see his underarm, but it's a sexy photo in general.

The saying reads,
"You gotta love what you do, && believe in what you do && if somebody doesn't agree, then fuck them."
I like that thought and theory.

I know it's not quite literal, but taken it could be, I especially like fucking people who don't agree with what I do. It's usually very quiet, but very satisfying.

Thanks, Andrew!

"Holly Would if She Could. ..and she will. - Cool World"

"Yeah, Miss Holli Would-if-she-could. That dame."

I liked this movie growing up. (Although I always thought I shouldn't be watching it. See how much that stopped me?)
Thanks to her, I think if Hollywood was a person, it would be her. Now living in Hollywood, I think of the Kim Bassinger character all the time and think, "Holly would if she could. ..and she will." Seriously, it's kinda scary how much I think of this movie.
Find out more HERE including THIS fascinating story about the cartoon character on the world famous Hollywood sign. (I love this story.)
...and HERE on the record according to IMDB.

Teabag

I read this today and thought, "Right on." - "I am like a teabag, I don't know how strong I am until I am in hot water."

"Theatricality and deception are powerful agents."

I rented "Batman Begins" from iTunes two nights ago and watched it again for the first time since I saw it at the movies in Las Vegas when it came out.
I rented one more scary/thriller movie too because it was set in Louisiana, but I can't remember the name of it.
I am not a big fan of the iTunes rentals. I prefer the cable OnDemand having used both.

As I was watching it, I thought, man, that looks like Chicago, so I looked online and sure enough, parts of the street scenes were filmed in the Windy City. They temporarily changed some of the buildings in Chicago to "Gotham City" buildings for filming like the building to the left. I am not right too often, so I was tickled that I recognized Chicago.
I have always been fascinated with "Gotham City" and listed as one of the places I would like to go on vacation once.

I have to say that one part stood out this time in the movie when I watched it from my couch.
One of the characters named, Henri Ducard said,
"Theatricality and deception are powerful agents."
I can't agree more.
Wow, that hit me like a ton of bricks. Ouch.
I know it was just one line in the movie, but I feel like the volume was turned up for that statement. I heard it so well. I don't know why, but it happened and I thought I would make note of it.
I didn't like that character in the comics or the movie, but I apprecaite that they kept him true to the story for the film. Thank you.

Quote of the Moment - Adults in the Adult Industry

"You have to be an adult to work in the industry, but evidently you don't have to act like one."
-Holly Randall, "In Porn, Nobody Gets Out Alive"

I think Ms. Randall meant it as a somewhat angry, bit backlashed, but mainly proud comment in her missive, however, I think I agree with her for some of the same reasons and more about acting with tact and exhibiting the traits a learned adult would in the adult industry.

It's no secret or afterthought, I have pulled off some pretty childish acts and gotten away with it. ...things that I know I could (..no, I meant to say SHOULD there, not could. They are totally different.) not have done working at a hotel. (Well, wait, I have always been very childish, even working at the hotels.) I probably would push my limits there too, but I do think I have a fabulous, fun and completely manageable margin of being childish that I am allowed in this industry that very few other industries could afford me.
The best thing is when I pull off a third or fourth grade stunt, I usually get some kind of credit for it, it's that a hot deal? *wink* Oh yes. *dances around room*
I know there's a time to behave, and I avoid those at most costs. *wink*

I know I meant to write should and not could, but writing that I meant to write something else draws extra attention to it. I know I should not have thrown myself on the floor in a temper tantrum when they laundry temperatures was too high, the energy costs were up and towels were yellowing, but it helped employees remember that through theatrics, not to do it again. *wink* It was the next time I would have to take out disciplinary action forms.

Quote of the Day

Oh the things I hear from my friends. I love it, today I told one of my friends how impressed I am that he is so on it when it comes to questions I ask him.
His reply was,
"I may be a drunk messy whore, but I can get the job done, boo."

"It's a Good Thing."

"It's a good thing." - Martha Stewart can be heard as saying this often.
