GayDays Anaheim Group Photo

Thanks to Angel's diligence we were able to get into the group photo at Disneyland. Well, ONE of the group photos, there were so many, I think there were something like five of these groups.
It was kind of strange though, we all headed into this closed area with gates and ummmm.... reminded me of Schindler's List. YIKE! ...a bunch of gays marked up going into a closed area. ...not pretty.
Thank goodness, the photos were.

Disneyland Thrills

We are back from Disneyland this weekend and the GayDays events. It was great. I seriously don't know that it could have been much better. I had a WONDERFUL time.

Here are two photos from the rides.

I am INFATUATED with the "Tower of Terror," it's really bad folks.
I am obsessed with the bellhop uniform. Of course, I would be, when I looked up how to get one on the Disney black market, I found this; "All of the cast members wear a costume that resembles that of a 1930s bellhop. At over one thousand dollars (US) per uniform, it is the most expensive costume in the various theme parks.^[1]" *beats head on wall* ARGH! "Good luck with that Brandon Baker."

There was a group of sorority girls in the log behind on us on the racially outdated "Song of the South" based ride "Splash Mountain" and when we got off the ride and were looking at the photos, the girls said, "I think we should just buy their photo." *hehe*

GayDays Anaheim

We are headed to Gay Days Anaheim at Disneyland in California this weekend. Friday after I kick off my work shoes we are headed there. I have a fun little group going now and staying at the hotel with me.

We are going to have lunch Saturday the New Orleans themed restaurant, Blue Bayou, which from what I understand, is the only place in the park where you can get pink lemonade. HOT! It's a busy place, so we do have reservations if you are going to be there, please let one of the voices in my head know so that we can make arrangements for you too. This is the restaurant that you float by while riding on Pirates of the Caribbean. Now they will some new kind of Pirates - Butt Pirates. *wink*

I did the hotel already, but I am working on the tickets now, I don't even know what is really going on except we will be there, so when I know, I'll update this entry. ARGH!

DAMN! This stuff gets expensive. I haven't even left yet and I at at $398.05. I can't complain because I feel like I have saved a lot of money already, but man, I can see how these circuit parties are crazy expensive.
I got a Silver VIP ticket for Wonderland on Friday and Kingdom on Saturday for $70.00 by calling the House of Blues directly. They are sold out of Gold VIP passes. It looks like Wonderland passes are $15.00 at the door and Kingdom admission is $30.00 in advance and $40.00 at the door by themselves.
I plan on purchasing a California resident annual pass at the gates of Disney for $134.00. Otherwise, one day park passes are $94.00 for 1 day and $132.00 for 2 day. I don't know if that's one park or both.

GayDays Anaheim & Another Priceline Story

Priceline made me happy again today.

"Thank you Priceline Negotiatior."

I bid $55.00 per night in the Disneyland area for this weekend so I can go to GayDays in Anaheim and guess what? I returned with the Hilton. Fierce.

What more is that dumbass me bid on the wrong weekend first. I bid on the 17th by accident. I don't know how, it's the little calendars or something but I did and I actually bid $65.00.
When I realized I bid on the wrong dates, I called and asked for an exception and they let me as long as I re-booked for the correct dates on Priceline.
Good thinking for them, "Charge a cancellation fee, an administrative fee and refund one if they give us more money back." or "Keep his money and refund most of it if he re-books on our site."
There was a little ($5.95) cancellation fee and a one night cancellation fee, but that was refunded when I re-booked using Priceline changing only the dates.
It worked, I sure did and am thankful enough to use them more often. (If that's possible.)
The second bid was lower and was accepted, so I saved thirty some bucks.
