UnZipped Escorting Article - Part II

The August Unzipped Magazine also has these humorous, yet fully functional and important "20 Commandments of Sex for Hire."I don't like the word choices in the headline, because that's not what escorts are selling, they are selling blocks of time.
The ideas contained are good though even if they are Moses' or mine.
UnZipped Escorting Article

The August 2008 issue of Unzipped Magazine has an article on escorting that is quite good if you ask me. ...and ties in Batman. (Holy hooker, Batman!)www.rentboy.com is mention a few times too, which is cool as well.

NEWS: Lucas Entertainment Changes Travel Policy
Lucas Entertainment Changes Travel Policy
Beginning with its September production, Lucas Entertainment will reimburse models for travel but won't pay travel costs up front.

NEW YORK - Lucas Entertainment has instituted a new travel policy that requires all models to purchase airline tickets on their own. Travel expenses will be reimbursed when models arrive at the filming location, the company said Tuesday.
"This decision was made following a disgraceful number of models not showing up for their flights for the company's current shoot, Flip This!, now filming in Atlanta, Ga.," a Lucas statement explained.
"We are currently in production in Atlanta, and three models did not show up," president and chief executive officer Michael Lucas said. "These tickets were non-refundable and non-transferable, causing us to lose money on top of precious time for filming. We are not interested in giving irresponsible models a second chance. If a model does not have the money or a credit card to fly to New York with, this is a red flag that the individual is reckless and therefore not particularly likely to show up. This is a person I wouldn't want to work with.
"In our case, one model did not arrive at the airport on time," he continued. "Another model was suddenly sick an hour before their flight's departure time, and a third simply did not board their plane and failed to notify the crew that they would not attend the shoot."
Delays and surprise absences cause organizational headaches for the crew, Lucas said.
"Other, more responsible models are left feeling frustrated, sometimes waiting up to a full day before a replacement can be found," he noted. "Over the course of its 10-year history, Lucas Entertainment has lost tens of thousands of dollars in missed flights."
Lucas said he hopes the change in travel policy will persuade models to become more responsible. He also encouraged other studios to adopt similar policies.
"We all know how expensive a day of production is," he said. "A shoot should not be ruined by people who don't care."
Speaking Sprint
If you have been trying to reach me by mobile phone, yesterday I did a phone upgrade and my phone is all out of whack since then. I have been speaking to Sprint and they are working on it.These hot new phones are certainly functional and I can do many things, but as with most new technology, there comes other things too.
I hope to have all this resolved today.
If you are calling me, I think you got right to my voice mail and I can check that.
There is a long story of what transpired when I went to Sprint to get my Treo fixed after the Ft. Lauderdale Pool Party and finally, after making an insurance claim on the phone, the new Treo is on the way. Well after I purchased a new Mogul and did the online upgrade the Sprint does not offer, and could not tell me where to get it, but endorses. ???
Of course, I want to relay that, but it's going to take a second, and that, I don't have right now.
...most could argue that a new phone is great for me since I answer it all the time, every time. Right? NOT!
Canada Sucks!
I absolutely love this ad, eh?I don't really think Canada sucks. In fact, I loved Montreal. I had so much fun in Toronto. I used to go to Windsor across the Ambassador Bridge from Detroit to Windsor when we were growing up and always had a Scandinavian exchange student so that they could say they went to another country for dinner. *wink*
National Cheesecake Day
No joke, today is 'National Cheesecake Day
and the Cheesecake Factory is offering $1.50 slices today.
Cheesecake is one of my, if not my favorite, food. The big cheese of cheesecake, The Cheesecake Factory, is turning the big 3-0 and throwing a party with (cheese)cake for all of its guests. In conjunction with National Cheesecake Day, all locations of the restaurant—first opened in 1978 in Beverly Hills by former law student and rock drummer David Overton to showcase his mother’s desserts—will offer up every slice of its more than 30 varieties of cheesecake at the 1978 price of $1.50 (limited to one per guest, you glutton). ...for more CLICK HERE

Earthquake

Today was the second earthquake I have been through. You can read about the first one in my blog too. This one was much more apparent. (I was in my office both times. How about that.)Trust me I have been more shaken than a 5.4 earthquake in my life, but today was the first time I can measure it on the Richter scale.
I was on the phone with our IT department because my office phones were already not working properly when it actually happened.
It was am amazing experience.
The whole office shook, things fell off my desk and shelves. I looked over and saw the water cooler tipping and it in general, things moved.
At first, I truly didn't believe it. I thought it was in my head. I didn't feel well this morning and thought, "Oh shit, it's the big one." I had been feeling dizzy and ill already. However, I quickly realized that it was really happening and thought, "What did I learn in school you are supposed to do during a hurri...torana...earthquake?"
It was over very quickly and besides being a little shaken up, things were fine.
I seriously thought it was like a ride at an amusement park and that it was kind of cool now that it's over. I know it could have been much worse.
The earth has moved many times under my feet, but not quite like that.

Fleur-de-lis Restoration Ale
Abita Springs is a term that is familiar around New Orleans. It's a city on the Northshore of the lake. It's a water company. It's a beer.
...and it's the latter company that has a “Fleur-de-lis Restoration Ale." ...a what?
It's no joke that drinking is not a joke in and around New Orleans. I mean, when we hear about a hurricane we think of a potent local drink concoction AND the storm. ...and we even mix them, usually before a hurricane storm, we board up the house and have a few of the other hurricane's at a hurricane party. (I am serious folks. Try to get some water at the grocery before a storm, you'll be in line for hours. Try and get some beer before a storm. Not a chance.)
The local brewers describe the ale as,Fleur-de-lis Restoration Ale is made with English Pale, Lager, Crystal and Cara Pils malted barley. We liberally hopped and dry hopped our Ale with American Cascade and Centennial hops and fermented it with California Ale yeast. The result is a brilliant gold ale with a rich body, mild bitterness and a snappy fresh citrus hop flavor and aroma.I used to occasionally like Abita Springs bottle called 'Purple Haze' but not that often. I loved raspberry beer. It's so gay huh?
When I worked at the Holiday Inn near Abita Springs, we used to give every Priority Club reservation check in Abita Root Beer and "Craw-taters" flavor Zapps Potato Chips.

Boy of the Moment - Hot Straight Guy
P.O.S.H.
Word History: "Oh yes, Mater, we had a posh time of it down there." So in Punch for September 25, 1918, do we find the first recorded instance posh, meaning "smart and fashionable." A popular theory holds that it is derived from the initials of "Port Out, Starboard Home," the cooler, and thus more expensive, side of ships traveling between England and India in the mid-19th century. The acronym POSH was supposedly stamped on the tickets of first-class passengers traveling on that side of ships owned by the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company. No known evidence supports this theory, however. Another word posh was 19th- and early 20th-century British slang for "money," specifically "a halfpenny, cash of small value." This word is borrowed from the Romany word påh, "half," which was used in combinations such as påhera, "halfpenny." Posh, also meaning "a dandy," is recorded in two dictionaries of slang, published in 1890 and 1902, although this particular posh may be still another word. This word or these words are, however, much more likely to be the source of posh than "Port Out, Starboard Home," although the latter source certainly has caught the public's etymological fancy.

MOVIE: The Dark Knight
Here are a few of my scattered thoughts.
There was one time that Jason warned me about that the movie got very "preachy" and Morgan Freeman's character said, "...that's too much power for one man." I won't spoil it for you, but jeesh, the movie's technology and practical application are not that far off. I liked the movie but get frustrated when I leave a movie and feel like I left a sermon. It's all good and I know you mix messages with entertainment, I mean, that's what we do. *exasperated* - At one point, after waiting in line and finding premium seats that were all by ourselves, I left Jason to the seats while I went to get fluid refreshment. As I was coming back in the crowded theater to sit he was walking down the hallway and told me, "I think I just gave up our seats." I said, "You THINK you did or you are sure you did since you are walking down the hallway, my dear?" He smiled and we headed back to find new seats in the front of the front of the front of the theater.
- The Jokers character is diabolical. I like that. I am entertained by that, I want to learn from that, I enjoy it. However, don't kill me, but I think Heath Ledgers performance overrated. That's just me though. I expected something stellar by the way it was cast by the media. Heath Ledger played it well by all means. It does not mean, I don't appreciate his efforts to the motion picture society, but it does mean, I think his 'Brokeback Mountain' performance was much more emotional and more award worthy. ...and not jsut 'cause it was gay.
- We went to see it in IMAX in Anahiem. We drove 40 minutes to see the show that was not sold out two days in a row. It didn't feel that different from a regular theater spare that the scenes of Gotham flying were pretty impressive.
- It might just be me, but Gotham City looks very much like Chicago. Nope, it's not just me.
- There were a few lines I really liked. One of them was Two-Face: The only justice in an unfair world is chance. I can't agree more. The other is when they are talking about chaos and that the only reason some people do things is because of the fun of it. Rarely do I do things solely for that reason, but I do believe some people do. I trust that calculation will pay off more in most circumstances, but sometimes, "...only for the fun of it." is the best reason. Who defines fun though? In a twisted mind, fun can be quite scary.
- I thought, "Man, if these crimes occur in the movie, someone had to think of them. I am glad they were for a movie and not to be carried out. That scares me.
