Coincidence & Attention

This beautiful world never misses an opportunity to remind me of how small it is.
...and how oblivious I can be at times.
...and how the two can still go together somehow in her infinite wisdom. *hehe*

So a few days ago I was approving this photo on an account and thought he was really cute. I do several hundreds of ad approvals each week and I still get excited about many of them. Call it a perk, call it whatever you want, it's certainly one of the more fun things I think I get to do and see.

A day or two later, I needed to pull up the account for something else and I was like, "Oh yea, that looks familiar." Wait, REALLY familiar. It only took me a second to realize that ummmm.... that's my bed. I mean, I know there are tons of beds like that, but I think that's my house.

One more part of it came together, and I talked to CoolTom and he was like, "HELLO - yes, that's him."
I love that CoolTom uses my apartment for some shoots. It's usually the shoots that kick the boys escort careers off and it's the first photos they can use online on the site. I truly don't think I have ever been there for one of the shoots, and I don't think I want to be. I would not want it to appear that I let them utilize the "Pimp Plaza" to lure them back there, but it's convenient to many areas, I am usually never there so it's a private space to get the photos they need, there are several areas they can shoot on like my red, bordello bed or the shower, and I pride myself on keeping it spiffy and clean. Plus, it's a quick, free solution to the excuse of, "I don't know where we could do them."
It sort of cracks me up that I see my own bed online more than I do in person these days. Thank goodness the boys are making it look so good. *wink*
It's so crazy to me that these few seemingly random incidents are so clearly linked now.

...but wait, there's more.
Yesterday, one of the boys who is also staying at my house brings this boy home and they did whatever while I played "Office Hours." and seriously, they could have done a satanic ritual and I would not have paid attention. No one needed anything and I had stuff to do, so it's to each their own.
I think as I think back to it, I only really gave him any attention when they pulled out the sofa bed. Normally, people sleep on the couch and think, "Wouldn't you be more comfortable on the bed?" and it usually ends at that thought. (Thank goodness, because I get all the change that ends up between the cushions of the couch. Fierce.)
This morning, they slept in late while Mitchell and I did the pool party descriptions and I mean, I knew SOMEONE was over there, but I totally didn't realize it was him. I mean, it's was until a few moments that I was able to put all this together.

He didn't totally realize it either, this evening, he said, "I think I have been here before. Whose house is this?" after we established that it was mine, things quickly became much clearer.

I totally did think, "Shit, Brandon, you have had this dude in your house for going on two nights and you are finally realizing this. Way to go. He could have robbed everything in the front half of my 483 square feet. Super." NOTE TO SELF: PAY ATTENTION TO WHO IS IN YOUR SPACE, FUCKER!
It's even crazier, I mean, really, what are the chances that he would end up here again.

It's all too weird and fabulously coincidental without making me feel threatened and politely reminded that attention is not overrated.
Do I give it too much attention?
